|Reviews for Godot's Been And Gone|
| ZeronosVega chapter 1 . 7/4/2014
I didn't notice that this only had 103 words until after I clicked on the link. And yet, those words managed to make me really sad for Yuki. It takes a talented writer to do so much with so little.
| flairina chapter 1 . 3/6/2014
Before I clicked on this story, my thought was "what could possibly be contained in 103 words that would garner that many reviews and favorites?"
| Netherwood chapter 1 . 8/29/2013
That is one of the starkest and probably the most efficient fic I've ever read. I feel slightly silly for spending around 7000 words on my own Yuki-hates-Endless-Eight story. Good job.
| Ergoemos chapter 1 . 5/1/2013
I love this and the companion stories of Yuki. Horror isn't always something with monsters or insanity. Horror can be the mundane. It can be the sanity resulting from infinite mundane. I like how short this story is. It stands as a contrast to what came before.
| Themulchmeister chapter 1 . 2/3/2012
Short and clever...I admit I had to read over it again just to get the Godot reference too.
Okay I've read about five or so of your stories now and I must say you are a really talented writer. I haven't seen any spelling errors or grammar mistakes in any of your work so far. I've read some really terrible stories where the authors clearly don't even bother to proofread their own work, but you seem to proofread over yours at least two or three times.
I'm going to have to put you on my fave Authors list now because you do such a great job with Harufics. Plus it's great to see another keen Haruhi Suzumiya otaku in Aussieland.
| croquant chapter 1 . 4/3/2011
Hmm, could you explain what exactly the reference here is to? I've seen all the anime but can only come up with the explanation, as another reviewer has stated, that this is in the faraway future. Why is she waiting for the phone to ring?
| Akanamay chapter 1 . 7/24/2010
This gave me chills, and it made me feel so bad for poor Yuki stuck in that timeloop.
| enderverse chapter 1 . 2/27/2010
So sad thats why I prefer to think that she just turned off her mind and had a simple program with automated responses running her body during that period. she would only need to wake up if something relatively new happened.
| Ronfar chapter 1 . 12/22/2009
Only 103 words, but it says so much.
| Crouching Tiger Hidden Shizuru chapter 1 . 12/14/2009
All I thought of was Godot from Phoenix Wright, haha, but I suppose "Waiting for Godot" is the one most would think of.
| R. Controversy chapter 1 . 12/6/2009
I enjoyed this a good deal. Being able to pack an emotional wallop into so few words is a real skill.
| Brendan Rizzo chapter 1 . 9/2/2009
I finally understand what the title refers to. Not a lot of people would get that reference. Good job.
"Good night, and good luck."
-Edward R. Murrow
| MCK chapter 1 . 9/2/2009
So few words... yet it genuinely screwed with my head. What else to expect from the one behind the legendery "The Melancholy Of Shinigami Ryuk".
| loli-neechan chapter 1 . 9/2/2009
TT i feel sad poor nagato dunno what else to say XP
| Tylec Asroc chapter 1 . 8/31/2009
I think I need to start following season two or read a few of the light novels to fully comprehend this one. I understand that Yuki's meant to be pitiful, standing out there like a lost little puppy, but I'm not sure of the context. Is this something to do with the end of that "Endless Eight" story - the time loop has stopped, but Nagato hasn't trained herself to break the pattern she established over fifteen-thousand (plus) days of conscious repetition?
A little more morbid interpretation, (but I do prefer this version): it's the first of September, only one hundred years down the road. Everyone's long since passed on, but the humanoid-interface still goes through her old routine, unsure of what to do with herself otherwise.
