Reviews for Bouncing Back |

![]() ![]() ![]() Nice. And yeah, tony needed to realise that not everyone is perfect, including him. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Nice very nice. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Tony is so immersed in his own guilt that he's forgotten that Gibbs & Fornell together put an innocent man in prison (Derek Fossen from "Escaped") and for a lot longer than 3 years. In my imagination Gibbs will remind Tony of this when they get back to Gibbs house with the Pizza and beer (?). Gibbs really can take very good care of his SFA when he puts his mind to it. Really glad that Gibbs is there for Tony since Tony's "team" didn't accept that they'd both goofed up back then too. The omission of that fact in the script always niggled at me. BuckeyeGirl00000. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Bouncing Back was very nicely written. Very nice exchange b/w Gibbs and Tony. |
![]() ![]() ![]() "Tony, you've been in law enforcement long enough to know that occasionally, you'll make a mistake or follow a wrong lead. It's what you do when you realize it that counts," Gibbs reasoned. "It was a team investigation and a team mistake, but you were Lead Agent and so - you carry and feel the greater responsibility. I'd have been disappointed if you hadn't." Very good and true advice from Gibbs. |
![]() ![]() ![]() this was great. i like your interpretation of tony's agitated behaviour the ep. :) |
![]() ![]() ![]() Weird, I would have thought i would hahve review-ed this earlier. because i know that i have read this several times already... Well... can't remember everything! Really like this story! Bye |
![]() ![]() Stupid computer - was not finished with my review. I rather think McGee and Ziva's attitude stemmed not from the fact that they had to take orders from Dinozzo, in itself, but given the way he is/can be with them and it is hard to take serious as leader someone who thinks it is ok to superglue a colleague's fingers to his keyboard. Tony is not my fav but i do find myself irritated by restrictions. He has clear ability to lead, which he should be doing, and not being led by Gibbs. When Gibbs came back from mexico Tony was allowed to slip back into "joker" mode. When he is leading we see less of the Tony i dislike very much and more of the Tony i think we should be seeing. Bounce was a very good episode i felt and your last line captures it all well. Gibbs sees Dinozzo's ability to lead clearly. I felt the S7 finale showed Tony being accepted at Gibbs level by Franks when Franks calls him probie. |
![]() ![]() I feel the NCIS writers are smarter than they are given credit for. I am a big McGee fan and more often than not feel he is done a diservice. Unsupprisingly this is linked to Dinozzo. McGee and Ziva's attitudes to Tony were not unsupprising. This is intentional on the writer's parts of course - |
![]() ![]() ![]() It was very important for a shattered Tony that Gibbs showed him his trust in his abilities to lead the team despite one big mistake. The last sentence of Gibbs was exactly what Tony needed. Well written story ! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Lovely story. Very nice. I like the inner-musings from Tony's perspective. I, like you, am a great fan of Tony DiNozzo and Michael Weatherly - and am always wanting just a little bit more from the show... they give us little hints & teases into the murky depths of his inner psyche, but we rarely get to see anything beyond the clown mask. I like this story, and I feel the characters were spot on. Nothing too overt, nothing too... just too. Subtle, just as the characters on the show are portrayed. Well done! SSW |
![]() ![]() ![]() Excellent story. I hope you have more tony stories soon. You write them so well! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Great explanation and insight. Very nicely done. |
![]() ![]() ![]() reasoned and angstily the last 2 lines! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Loved this episode but your story gave it the perfect ending. |
