| Inchworm242 chapter 1 . 9/3/2009
Finally! I was hoping someone would write a story and address this. Tony values Gibbs' opinion so much that it would have been very disconcerting for him to have Gibbs watching him like that. Loved Gibbs taking Tony for a drink - not saki - and the ending where he called Tony Boss. lol. Inchy

Oh, that was thought provoking! I didn't think of the reasons you gave to explain Tony's additional anxiety. Love a well thought out story that makes me think. Excellent work.

Great job. Yeah Tony did feel a lot of pressure on this case. But he also had his hands full with the team backing him, getting them to fit back together. And they all made the mistake even though Tony was the lead. So I never understood the reason McGee was the way he had been. Making like he didn't do anything wrong. Yet he found things that he didn't the first time around. That always bugged me. And I'm so glad in your story that Gibbs was there for Tony and love him calling after Tony with the On your six, boss..lol...nicely done and I enjoyed the read. Great job. Sue

Hi Lyn, welcome back! Your presence and wonderful stories have been missed. Really liked this one - no surprise there. You really highlighted Tony's "layers" and showed that there's much more going on in that head than - I was going to say face value but the face value is pretty darn hot! lol
Great effort. Back to work, more stories please.

That was fabulous!
| Laine3112 chapter 1 . 9/3/2009
I must admit I took that episode at face value - Tony upset because he sent an innocent guy to gaol. Your story takes a much deeper look at the more subtle issues going on in Tony's head that caused him to drop the facade. Very clever.
BTW, you'll be happy to know that the stick was removed successfully. lol

Great to have you back. Another excellent view of a rather complex episode. You captured Tony's wash of emotion very well. Loved the ending. "On you six, Boss."

You're back! I've missed your wonderful stories. This was very insightful. I didn;t really think about how important it was for Tony to solve his first case (sans Gibbs). I did wonder why it was all Tony's fault - was that the case when everyone else phone in sick? lol. Great job, Lyn

What a treat! A new story from you. I love this ep - particularly the Tony/Jimmy scene - but I remember thinking the same thing - Bounce was exactly what Tony's emotions were doing. I'm sure he felt particularly pressured with Gibbs right there watching - and I'm so glad he was so supportive.
Great story - I love it.

This is a really nice insight into this episode. Aside from the Tony/Gibbs "proud" scene, I actually did not like this episode mainly due to the appalling behaviour of McGee and (to some extent) Ziva. I could never see how it was all Tony's fault either! But I think you have explained Tony's behaviour really well and credibly, and written he and Gibbs very much in character. Nice job!
