I just got into this story and I am heartbroken you never finished! Though there is something artistic about this not having a perfect ending. The anticipation and desire for more. Art imitating life? Truly a great story, your write had me in tears...I hope one day you decide to pick this story back up. Regardless thank you for sharing your work!

It has been years...so many years...I need more please you were one of the greatest writers! you understood the darkness in Chair and knew how to utilize it

I passed by your story for months before I decided to read it. I knew it wasn't finished because of the numerous people that have begged this year for you to come back and finish. Well, I read it and see why so many people still love and reread this story. It's a beautiful coming of age story between two fractured people. One, dreams in the clouds, coming into her own, finds a broken boy/man who doesn't think he deserves to be loved. You have poured your talent chapter by chapter, showing us the metamorphosis of these two characters. Will they be butterflies? That will be never known. One thing I don't understand was your abandonment of the fans of your work. You responded to them as you wrote, yet, here, I read nothing about the status of your stories. You could have posted that you lost the desire to write about these two. I think that would have been the fairest thing since it's been 11 years now and people still read and reminisce nostalgically about your story. Oh well...

It has been officially 10 years since the last update of this fic. I've reread it more times than I'll ever admit. Every time I read some romance novel on Amazon or whatever this fic always pops up in my head and I think "wow, I think that CB fanfic I read years ago could smoke this so-called book by a so-called professional writer...". And then I think "nah, I read that fic when I was younger, it was probably easier to impress me back then, it couldn't have been that good..."
And now 10 years later I read it again and no... I am this older, more sophisticated version of myself and I still feel so much when I read this piece, more than any other "legit" book ever made me feel. Today's my birthday and I think I'm going to wish for this fic to get a CPR, be magically revived, and finished. You have to keep your faith in miracles even though you're getting older and you witness less and less of them so I will try:) Thank you, Whitney, for creating it in the first place, and big thanks to those muses that surrounded you when you were writing it. This is a magical piece of literature and I wouldn't want my life without ever experiencing it. Much love:) xoxo
