Great fic, really made me look at Fords character in a new light.

Just as a note, FF must have messed up your formatting or scrambled the chapters because I noticed more than a few duplicate chapters that were out of order. It didn’t impact the story’s flow much, but was very confusing.

I love this story, but if Ford didn’t have a sub dermal locator implant then what code is Jon scanning for from the back of the Jumper?

I cried through the last three chapters, it was so well written. Thank you for sharing, I loved it so much. John’s guilt and Gibbs’ approach to investigating. Teyla’s formality, and the the marine’s standing up for Sheppard and the LT. The honour guard when they arrived at Atlantis with Ford. McKay’s honesty about his feelings. Caldwell and his admission to his own ‘alien influence’ and how Sheppard was there for him even though they didn’t get along.
I think I liked John’s breakdown on the planet because you didn’t linger for a long time on it, you kept it brief and contained like John usually is. It let me imagine the scene instead of shoving it into my brain and that was the moment that I literally started crying. OMG I loved this.

I don't usually leave a review, but I found this to be a story that needed recognition. Well written, good pacibg, and an easily believable plot(given the nature of SGA). The ending brought a tear to my eye, and gave some much-needed closure to Ford's story. I only wish they had found him alive, but I completely understood why he didn't survive. As soon as you said the crash was a bad one, I knew he wouldn't have survived detox.

I've re-read this story and find it as excellent as I remembered it. You captured all the characters very well in a believable plot. I know it was written quite a while ago, but it stands the test of time!

I like your idea of closure for this story line. It was like the writers of the show weren't ever sure if they would resurrect him so they never actually gave closure to the viewer. This was an honorable death and ending for the character. Well done!

Very very excellent story ! I really liked it - even if usually, I like more adventure, but it wasn't the subject, and you made it totally good anyway : I really believe that it could have happened, if they had ever decided to join the shows. Hey, it SHOULD have happened : it's nice to finally know what happened to Ford... Even if it's totally out-show, I'll keep it as my personnal belief...
