Reviews for Letting Go |

![]() ![]() ![]() Maybe this story will make up for the sad lack of Edmund in the movie... Oh, no. I just realized that this is a Lirenel story that features Edmund. /nervous/ I know that this is AU, but...he's not going to die in that stupid night raid, is he? Anyway, paranoia aside, I love Edmund's indignation over the Telmarines' dismissing him as "hardly dangerous." I laughed at the irony - he met Caspian first! Your Caspian seems much more pleasant than movie!Caspian. "Paranoid, distrustful, and with the same blasted, pompous accent that Edmund remembered." I love the way he sums up the Telmarines. "Though Edmund did find it rather amusing that the Four Sovereigns had been turned into the Giant King Goldenfire, Prince Darksilver, and their nameless wives (Susan would be furious)." Only Edmund would find this amusing. And possibly Peter. But not movie!Peter. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Out of all the Prince Caspian stories, bookverse, movieverse, or AU, this was one of the best I have ever seen. Some may feel uncomfortable with all the religious aspects of this story, but to me, they just make it what it is (and I am very sure I would say this even if I weren't a Christian). Very well done. Your story is now one of my favourites, and if I haven't before added you as one of my favourite authors, I do so now. I look forward to new Narnia stories from you. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Your subtext is quickly becoming the text. Even Lewis wasn't this little subtle. I'm going to read a few chapters more and see if it gets better, but you really should tone down the religious aspect of this. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I'm about ready to cry as I write this. Your story was well written and interesting, but the thing that connected to me most was the heartfelt faith that Edmund and Lucy showed through difficult times. Would that we could all carry that with us in life. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Sorry. I meant "definitely", not "definitively". Forgive me? |
![]() ![]() ![]() Your story is wonderful. It gave me a feeling of peace and happiness I've never had before while reading a ff. (Does that sound over the top? But it's true.) Aslan's and Edmund's forgiveness are really touching, and you pictured the Pevensies very well, that's just (Just...:)) how I imagined them to be. Thank you for this sometimes heartbreaking, lovely, definitively Narnian story! |
![]() ![]() ![]() I love it. May I say that you are the Queen of Narnia's fanfiction? Every piece of yours stories, every chapter is something special. I come back from time to time, and I read your fficks. I reckon, I'll open this page one more time in the near future. Thank you for a lovely, hmm... smart? heros. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Now, if this had been the movie, I would've went to see it in theaters a thousand times. ) Great story, beautiful writing and emotion... this is definitely a favorite. It's just so amazing, I love it! |
![]() ![]() ![]() This was fantastic. Better than even the original, I might say. |
![]() ![]() ![]() My dear Aslan...how do you DO this? Very, very nearly reduce me to tears in the form of the beautiful WORDS? Lion's Mane... Honestly, this last chapter, as well as every single word in every single chapter preceding it, is gorgeous beyond mention. It does not take a fool to see how much strife went into recreating PC to fit your 'verse, and my...how you did succeed so awesomely (that's the TRUE meaning of the word, not in faux context)... May the Lion be with you always as you spread your magnificent, just, gentle, and valiant tales for the world to see. You are beautiful. Ever-so sincerely signed, Shizuku Tsukishima749 :D ;D :) ;) |
![]() ![]() ![]() Oh, goodness...I just HAVE to review this chapter! Goodness, this reconciliation was absolutely GORGEOUS! *U* Honestly, one of the best I've EVER READ (other than Sentimental Star's in 'Keeping the Faith')! Dear ASLAN, it was SO POWERFUL, so EMOTIONALLY CHARGING... I swear, if I had not been so enthralled by the story itself, I would have been long in tears. *U* *U* *U* Hark, what depthless beauty have I spotted here...? Ever-so sincerely signed, Shizuku Tsukishima749 :D ;D :) ;) P.S.-lol. Ed and Caspian are hilarious with the crown! |
![]() ![]() ![]() This was a beautiful story. I'm not a big fan of the movie, but this was fantastically well done. |
![]() ![]() ![]() This was such a fantastic story. Thank you for writing it, I loved every word. x |
![]() ![]() ![]() OMG! I liked it so much! Probably the best CoN out there I'm sure C. would be so proud cause not only you remained in character but you worte in such beliveable way. It culd totally pass for the second book. I love the conflict between Peter and Edmund. I Love chapt 30 I think, when Edmund told him his fear...And Also I love how he was with Prince Caspian." Brother" That was awesome! No word for it I love Edmund, he has always been my favorite character...I hope you will write more stories or at least OS :D Almost brought me to tears more than once. And yet you did not fall into the Mary Sue/Gary Stu nor write them...in a girly way. I mean, you wrote them as boys, men even. Lol I loved seeing Edmund hurt xD I'm such a sadist xD But then he always try to hide it and then everyone was fussing around hm so much...I really, really liked it Thank you for such a great fic * hugs* |
![]() ![]() ![]() Very well written. Impressive depiction of emotion and brotherly love. Very true to the messages CS Lewis himself gave in his books - faith, love and mercy. |
