Loved this! Such an unexpected little treat. :D
| Krissy chapter 1 . 9/12/2010
Your story is so cute. I mean you have a life story and you're teaching a life lesson to not judge people and believe everything people say. It was touching.

I think I'm on a Jasper jag ... and what better place to do it than wandering among your stories. This is actually the second time I have read this one. Love it love it love it. You kept the uncertainty beautifully. I didn't guess for sure the solution to the mystery until you revealed it. Just lovely. I'm kind of squeamish about explicit sex in any context except actual congress between myself and one I love, but your narrative of these two teenagers was sweet and heartfelt, not gross. Thank you for that. I also thank you for giving the pretty pervasive potty mouth a raison d'etre that let me feel endeared to the characters rather than (for me anyway) feeling alienated by coarseness.
Lastly, as I was scanning your reviews for this story (because I thought I had left one the first time I read), I came across reference to a review that you wrote on Amazon, for Breaking Dawn. Well, hell, girl, I for sure had to go read that. Hah! Tell it, sister! I honestly could not read past SM's first book. I kept waiting for the writing/plot/characterization to get interesting/romantic/something not a Mary Sue. I kept waiting for her to do something with the premise, which is so deeply archetypal. Nada. The best she could do with Eros/Psyche*Hades/Kore*Love across the Great Divide Female Orpheus/Male Euridice was supercilious put-downs, goo goo eyes, a cheesy love triangle and aborted intrigue with a frou frou mafia? Maybe she was in too much of a hurry, couldn't give her ideas time to marinate and mature? Only her hairdresser knows for sure.
And so we write. 161K stories, just on this site alone. Heh. It has us by the hairs.

| Kimblekn chapter 1 . 8/21/2010
I thought I was firmly off of the Twilight bandwagon, except when it came to Jacob, and then I get pulled back in my Jasper. :/ I would be mad if he wasn't so amazing. I loved this. It was funny, cute, awkward, angsty, hot, and romantic all at the right moments. Awesome job. Easily one of my favs.
| wreakinghavocday-n-night chapter 1 . 8/20/2010

| AFTAlonzo chapter 1 . 8/19/2010
I just love the way you write-allusions to quality literature and music, some interesting twists to your stories, and with liberal use of swearing.

Hey, look who it is... Zigs, reviewing a Jella fic written by Chick.
Holy fuck, grab your loved ones, and save the porn! The world is going to end!
heheheheehe. I did it! I read a jella! And your jella, which is oh so important.
Dude, there's a reason this got a mention, cause it's all kinds of sweet and loving and angst free, and yay! Plus, kudos to the realism. Bella not coming on her first, or thirty first tries? Nice. Poor Jasper though, I felt bad he couldn't do it for her for so long, and christ, poor Bella, being so pent up with no release. Torture. Thank god they had a breakthrough.
*zigs is happy*
You make me want to read/write high school fic again. I loved the beginning with the smoking and the atmosphere. And fuck yes, I love cloves.
Well, loved. They really will make your throat bleed. Ow.
| LadyGlencora chapter 1 . 7/11/2010
After much Edward and Bella, a little Jasper and Bella is refreshing. I am intrigued with the prospect of reading more. I especially liked your take on small town and wagging tongues. Resolving the sexual tension with patience and care was a lovely touch, I am not averse to erotica, but I don't care for vulgar smut and you handled it well, very classy and loving. Your descriptive style "showed" me a young couple becoming intimate in a myriad of ways, filling the large void between kissing and making mutant babies. Well done, well done indeed.
I wrote a comment on your review of BD on a day or so ago and mentioned that I never left you a review for "Killing Jessica Stanley" and "Yet They Shine." I will strive to remedy that in future readings.
Thanks for coloring outside the lines.

Love, you really have a way with words. I wanted to copy and paste some of my favorite lines to show you what I loved so much but I was copying and pasting the whole flipping story and it just got out of control. I love the bad guy and the good girl overshadow, even though that's not really what they are. And the sexual tension was toe-curling. Ah, to be young again. I'm seriously addicted to your writing!
| ohlneeme chapter 1 . 7/4/2010

| IChimpz chapter 1 . 7/2/2010
"Sofa king good." :D
It really was good, though. Amazing.
It was nice to see someone step away from the Jasper drug-stereotype thing (I'm so guilty of this) and turn it into something...well, logical.
It was just too perfect.
Jasper/Bella is amazzzzzing.
And you write them better. :D
| TwiguysObsessed chapter 1 . 6/21/2010
I adore :)

Well, while I'm going to say I wish there had been more of it, I absolutely loved it. I would have liked to see more of how Bella and Jasper dealt with the sheeple but again that is me. I did love this one shot immensely and I'm not an easy person to win over especially with one shots.
