This is great

This was a great story. And for one that is 20 years old, it has aged incredibly well. It is obvious that the authors are either part of the lgbt community or allies who took the time to properly educate themselves.

Good story.
Angst has it's place and this just about popped my tolerance level but in the end it was worth it. I've read stories that had so much angst, it drug the story down and I abandoned reading the rest.

I waited till the end of the story to write my review as I wanted to take it in as a whole. Throughout I was mesmerized by the writing and subject matter, it was a fairly great concept and handled in a very mature way.

I would say the most emotional part for me was honestly Nabiki reading Rankos journal. It hit me fairly hard and had me crying. Anyone who knows Nabiki's personality would realize how much of a departure her reaction was in comparison to how the show portrays her. I am not saying she was OOC, but it was a moment that showed just how much both Akane and Ranma mean to her by the fact that she didn't simply use the information as blackmail as she would with most other people.

The only think I can say about the story that left me wanting, is the idea that there was so much covered about Akane being at least bisexual, but it wasn't explored a bit more. I am not saying that I expected smut, this isn't that type of story, but it seems that having Akane explore "intimacy" with Ranma while both female was shied away from, but there seemed to be no issue with alluding to the fact that they had sex while opposite genders. I kind of feel that was hypocritical to the term of the story. To have Akane go through all that soul searching, to have her come to the conclusion that she actually is attracted to both sexes, without allowing her to experience it, just seems ...wrong and took away from the overall narrative.

I love this! I'm so mad at myself for passing it up so many times before now, It's one of the better fanfictions I've read in awhile and one of the few Ranma/Akane pairings that I like. (hate those tsuntsun's) anyways thanks for the good work!
