Ron sounds like an almost-petulant 9 year old with an advanced case of hormones.
He was more mature in canon, and should be here in this FF as well given his actual age, almost a year older than Harry!

This has been an excellent story and really hope you return to writing.

I like the explanation of Harry's "power he shall know not". It's an interesting spin here that I've read nowhere else in fandom.
JKR missed it as THE driving force in Harry's magic in the books, and all the directors and screenwriters in the movies missed that as well.
The single best example in the movies is in OOTP, when Harry throws Voldemort back out of himself at the Battle of the Ministry. The examples of Harry's memories of his friends, higs, laughter, joy and such are too much for the leech and he loses his toehold through the scar.
Good takes as well in the "discussions" with Dumbledore. He needed someone to "hand it to him" and Harry did just that.
All in all, really well done!

If they don't use an elf to get Gabrielle now that they used one to get Harry I'm dropping the story. Not being something might block the elf but because there is no reason the author has provided that a slave trader would think of it, nor that it would at least be suggested by Hermione or really anyone.

If no one suggests it then it is a JKR level plot device.

And here I lost all respect for Harry’s idiot parents and tons for the story and the writer themselves. Forgiving snape when he’s tortured their son? Defending dumbledor? Stupid brainless potentially borderline psychopathic or straight up evil potters. Retarded plot choices. This story was already pretty retarded. Nobody likes weak stupid doormat Harry, and yet that’s all your Harry is.

So many self caused problems with easy solutions. It pains me that these things are considered drama. They need to stop trusting dumbledor. That’s the most annoying thing ever, this stupid blind faith in the manipulative old man.

the girls are essentially rapists. weird coerced consent aside the fact harry doesn't get angry at them kinda killed it. I'm sure this is going to be the trope, woman can do no wrong. So I'll stop here before the whiping begins in earnest.
