You have great talent in drawing forth, fleshing out the characters of Star Trek and their interactions with each other.

I relate this portion of Sarek to Spock to my own interaction with my father.
He lived several states away from us, his grown children. We all lived with our spouses and children within 60 miles of each other. He would drive out once a year but wouldn't call until he arrived. He'd call and say, "I'll be there in 15 minutes." because he didn't want us to make a fuss and big preparation for his arrival. We'd have a good visit for maybe a half hour or so. Then he'd look at his watch and say, "well, it's time for me to go." He explained once that he didn't want to stay past his welcome, even though we reassured him that he couldn't.
He went to each child's house this way, getting the personal attention and updates of children, their spouses, and grandchildren.
Then he'd invite all out to dinner, usually a buffet.
He was a private person, but he made the effort to connect to his family as well as he was able.

Wow, I loved this! My favourite part would have to be the acknowledgment of the extremely close t'hy'la bond between Kirk and Spock that was brotherly and not romantic.
I also loved the deep, realistic chatacterization given to so many of these characters, and the way you portrayed the slowly healing and remembering Spock.
