Harp, once again...BRAVO
You were right, this one was much easier to take in.
The compassion that House displayed for all his circle to witness was perfect...and for them to FINALLY realize that it was always there, just better concealed, made me feel oddly justified...since I already knew it...
The way you painted a picture for us to see, truly is an amazing gift. Thank you

I am putting this up before I finish reading this chappy because Harp and I think alike...I am betting that Wilson finds Tritter's diagnosis on House's desk...
| Bakerstreet Blues chapter 11 . 5/19/2015
I love this judge...I KNEW all those years of watching Judge Judy would eventually pay off for House,...

| Bakerstreet Blues chapter 6 . 5/19/2015
"Son of a bitch" is right. Couldn't have said it better myself. Every time I think about that episode I just cringe. D Shore really is a sadistic bastard.
I can't wait to see what happens when Tritter meets Rainie...hahaha He thought House was a tough nut to crack...hahaha
| Bakerstreet Blues chapter 5 . 5/18/2015
I had forgotten how much I liked Rainie...
Very nice. Glad to see the other side of that whole fiasco coming to light.
| Bakerstreet Blues chapter 4 . 5/18/2015
Yep, Tritter is as big a prick as Foreman...nope, no animosity here...hahaha
I am secretly (or not so secretly now) hoping that those two get locked in a room TOGETHER and they beat each other to death...ugh. Hate is such a baddddd thing...
I like how you gave House the objectivity that he carries SO WELL.
| Bakerstreet Blues chapter 3 . 5/18/2015
Gad, I LOVE IRONY...Harp, only YOU would pull a stunt like this...
Loved House laughing at having Tritter as a patient...which by the way, would be EXACTLY how he would react. Of course House wouldn't care who the patient is because he never has in the past. He treated DISEASES, not people (or who they were). Remember the accused pedophile priest...House didn't treat him any different...
| Bakerstreet Blues chapter 2 . 5/18/2015
Hmmm, gonna guess TRITTER? I hope, if it is him, that he has EBOLA and dies a terrible death...gee, bitter much? I think so. (or even better his nicotine gum has finally poisoned him...heehee)
Harp, I put off reading this one because "Gentle Knock" took quite a while to recover from...hoping this one is easier on my mind.
Either way, great writing

I just read this in one sitting, more or less, right after A Gentle Knock. Great story!
| OldSFfan chapter 23 . 7/25/2012
Grand and grim story. Great job. Write some more!
| siddigfan chapter 5 . 2/17/2012
"Jacey leaned back, resting her elbows on the arms of the overstuffed chair, and pressing the tips of her fingers together. Watching the two of them battle it out as they struggled to reclaim their lives and their sanity was like watching supreme athletes at work—this was the World Series or Wimbledon of her profession" I really needed to hear that for some strange reason. I've been recovering from a brain injury that's left me with over four years of amnesia and a whole new life on disability to sort out. Watching House on TV has been one of my biggest helps as I can really identify with him in his pain and despair and rooting for him as I root for myself. You may never see this comment as I am aware that your story was written in 2010 and this is 2012. Still, I want you to know somehow that this has helped me, the detail, the reality of it; It's more real than you may even know. This ContractVerse that I have only just discovered today is going to be a big help to me as House and I struggle together to get well. Thank you for writing this! :-)

I really liked this story! I think you should add another chapter or two though. :)
