| Spenderella chapter 1 . 4/25/2010
Ok so I absolutely love this way more than I expected to. Did you purposefully put Sue in Bella's shoes? You didn't make a direct reference to it, so I wasn't sure, but the part about:
What could I say except that it was Charlie I wanted? That it was his arms I craved when I needed to lean on someone. It was his voice I wanted whispering in my ear at night. It was him that I wanted to make smile for as long as I was able to.
That's a lot like how Bella described choosing between Edward and Jake... it was just Edward she wanted.
Anyway great one shot!

Hi Hon, OMG! This is EXACTLY what I was looking for tonight and I did not think that I would find it! We are spotlighting Sue this week and needed good fics to rec that feature her. This story is absolutely perfect. I love how you have portrayed all of the characters. Awesome job bb! The segment will run tomorrow at w dot lesfemmesdetwilight dot blogspot dot com. ~Krista

Great story. You were able to get a lot of really good material into a short story/one shot; the relationship with Billy, the wedding, Nessie, the wolves. I really like how it closely follows Breaking Dawn. It's great that Sue and Charlie not only comfort and help each other heal, but truely love and fulfill each other's lives. I like that Charlie being such a strong confident police chief is able to share his vulnerablity with Sue. And I really like the Nessie calls Sue grandma. I've never read anything like that in any of the other fanfiction stories. Very thoughtful, especially since Leah may not be able to have childen. It would have been nice if Charlie and Sue got married.

A pleasant quick read
| Reggie Jolie chapter 1 . 10/13/2009
I loved your story.
You managed to capture the tension between Sue, Billy and Charlie. And it was wonderful.
ps: I don't speak and writing English well. sorry

I agree, that was a very interesting experience. Nice job. I enjoyed your take. I little hard to read at times since I’m with the vampires and she is clearly pro-wolf in the beginning but it was very well-written and thought out. Good luck.
| susayq chapter 1 . 10/11/2009
I really liked this. Nice job :)
| bmango chapter 1 . 10/7/2009
That was quite interesting - to see Sue change from hating the Cullens and wanting to protect Bella, to hating Bella, to accepting the situation and Nessie as her granddaughter. Very cool... Good luck in the contest! -b

Well done. Beautiful snapshots from the outside, or from fringes, looking in but still painting a picture of a different kind of world. I like reading about the wolf pack and the people connected to them but I also know that I could never write for them, not nearly as well as you have.
| thenlaugh chapter 1 . 10/7/2009
neither Charlie or Billy are DILF's to me, but this was the best one-shot I've read in a while. I love Charlie and Leah, so the Sue POV was great, and there's some really great insight here too. I particularly love all the little jokes at Seth being in love with Edward lol.
| kyla713 chapter 1 . 10/5/2009
I came across your story as I was going through the Dilf entries, and I have to admit, Charlie was that one that caught my eye. I am a huge Charlie fan, so to see this expansion of him finally getting some happiness back in his life outside his daughter was very refreshing.
He's definitely a DILF in my mind :D
| chele681 chapter 1 . 10/3/2009
That was a very well-written and totally enveloping little story. Can't even say how much I enjoyed Vulnerable just-outside-the-bedroom Charlie. No one deserved a good woman to love him more than Charlie and this was such a sweet way to weave in how he gets the girl. Thanks so much for writing it!
| vp chapter 1 . 10/3/2009
Lovely story with underused characters. Thanks so much for writing this wonderful behind-the-scenes peek at BD.
| BellaTonks chapter 1 . 10/2/2009
Simply amazing and beautifully written. I always enjoy reading stories that are not from the main charaters POV. Very well done. :D

Thanks for the glimpse into Sue's head. I always knew she must be an incredibly strong person to have gone through all she did. And I appreciated that the lemons were tasteful and appropriate to the stature of the people involved. (I personally have no lustful thoughts towards Chief Swan, uniform or no.)
