LadySunami chapter 1 . 6/2/2011 Nice! It's rather long, but I still enjoyed it thoroughly. Best of luck in the afterlife lovely thieves! |
Individually Packaged chapter 1 . 5/4/2010 :) Good job with this story. You must have done a lot of research to have so many accurate references: "Mahoutsukai," the Baa, etc. I loved it! |
ChaosRocket chapter 1 . 2/10/2010 Really love this. Sorry I can't say anything more constructive, but it's great. |
Shantih chapter 1 . 1/7/2010 This was really interesting! It's very dark, and disturbing, and somehow you manage to convey incredible intensity of emotion, even while your choice of language is somewhat detached. It's a really intriguing juxtaposition. I like the seamless way you move forward in time between their different lifetimes. And the very subtle way Bakura seems to change throughout time. It's very sad somehow that Bakura can remember everything but every time they meet Malik doesn't quite remember. It was also kind of strange and sorrowful when you describe how Bakura's in the ring, or something, and he knows he's missed Malik's lifetimes...that's such a haunting idea. The first kiss scene is absolutely fantastic. The theme of the seriousness of their oaths is really interesting too - how Bakura reacts at first, thinking thieves wouldn't ever make oaths or honor them. Bakura's reaction after Malik dies the first time is really heartbreaking. I thought it was very spot-on. Their dialogue throughout is really good too, and I loved the ending. Great job! |
deactivatedaccount121 chapter 1 . 12/8/2009 This was a great story. I really adore how you took your time to writing this story (at least, it looks like it XD), and your Egyptian/Japanese references are so... clever and right on spot. The interaction between Bakura and Malik was fantastic to read - I was amused and heartbroken at some of the scenes. And letting Malik die is something I can imagine Bakura doing, but his thoughts let the readers sympathize him and his reasoning. Your concept of Malik promising Bakura that he was his was so tragically beautiful. I'm honestly not sure whether reading the end made me empathize with the two or feel completely content. And this fanfiction has just fueled my love for fanfiction again. Thank you! 3 |
Anon chapter 1 . 11/30/2009 Holy crap. Words can't even describe how much I love this fic. |
Nikki chapter 1 . 10/15/2009 This is...absolutely lovely. I came across this fic by chance, and I have to admit I am shocked there aren't more reviews-the relationship you portray here between Marik and Bakura...its painful and raw and beautiful. I dearly hope you write more of them, I'd love to see more peeks into their dynamic. Truly amazing piece of writing. |
HugofLegends chapter 1 . 10/6/2009 Beautifully written and in character. I could clearly imagine the story as I read it. Plus it's my favorite pairng. I love this story so much, you're brilliant. |
