Creature of Shadow chapter 3 . 10/21/2023 Oh Sianna... the nostalgia! Everytime I get a random IY fanfic itch, I end up here. Your stories still get to me, over a decade later. Makes me miss when we were all still active in this Fandom, back in the before times. I will never not love reading these. And I do miss our chats. I don't even know if you will see this, but I hope very much you are well. xo Shadow~ |
Guest chapter 22 . 1/6/2023 What a beautiful story. It was simple yet intricate. And by simple I mean there was no fluff, no fillers, nothing needed to be added. The characters felt real and true to themselves. So the story felt real. I loved it. Wonderful story! |
Guest chapter 6 . 5/29/2018 Japanese minor here, it just depends on the kanji you use, Dai can mean many things depending on context but generally it means large, big, or in this case great. it can be used figuratively like in daogakksei (college literally ‘big learning’) |

StrangerWays chapter 22 . 5/16/2014 I am a perfectionist. Because of this I have the ability to observe on levels others cannot and also to seek out flaws and snub them. I even differentiate good from great when reading many fictions. What this little declaration means is that I have never called a fanfiction story of Inuyasha perfect. In fact I only know of two stories in the whole fanfiction net that I seem perfect and now there is a third. Your story was perfection. From the very beginning you went into depth of the origins of Youkai to the very end in tying it together. You are absolutely creative, original and your way with words is astoundingly intimate. You were able to manifest a physicality between reader and story. That takes amazing work. Each character had a background story. Each character was undeniably true to the series. I have so much respect for you and now I am completely infatuated by your work. DaiGin, was exactly how I imagined the Dog demons father to behave. He was wise, unwieldy and yet so mortal. You showed his mistakes, the decisions he has made that harmed his children's situation but ultimately was the right thing to do and then you presented the factor that if asked to do it all again, he would. As he should have. Because of his sacrifice for love both his sons are respectably with their rightful lovers. Any change of course would have taken such grand opportunities away. You made him human. You gave him such a huge role by presenting his story. Even the minor details of his mortal dog life was just entrancing! How completely genius of you. Kagome, You said something that stuck with me about her. The moment she and Sesshomaru became one, you said, "they had come this far, and if she could help it, they’d finish what they’d started. Besides, she wanted this. Maybe it was wrong, maybe there were a million and one reasons not to do it, but she wanted it anyway, and she had been denied so much already." That was so beautiful. And it made the lemon even more tasteful because it was said. She has lost so much in her life, such a beautiful person, a good person only to be let down time and time again. And yet at that moment she seized what she deserved and I found that engraved in my mind. Kagome throughout the fiction was how she should have been. Understanding, maturing and loving. You presented her grief multiple times, the nagging sensation of withdrawal occasionally and I appreciated it. It's important that didn't forget what she lost and by showing that she does think of such things made this more relatable and more vulnerable. The slow blossoming romance did not have me bored. I do tend to hate when writers hold the kiss off or the intimacy right at the end but the entirety of their courtship was rightful and befitting. And you allowed me to understand why by tapping into their thoughts and situation in depth. Speaking of which, I became teary eyed reading the lemon, which never happens. I've read some lemons where there's passion but never love. There is such a huge difference and you clarified that. I truly felt like they weren't just having sex but were becoming one in every sense including spiritually. That is hard to master and yet you did it. I commend you on such beauty. Sesshomaru, oh my goodness, I am completely in love with your Sesshomaru. He is how I imagined him to be. I've read so many fictions within becoming soft, and straying from his character without true reason, also I have read him cold and heartless without explanation. You were the first author to have explained in detail his emotional indifference and also the first to genuinely pace his developing feelings for Kagome, and his guilt for Inuyasha's death without straying him for being the reserved individual he is. His thoughts were refreshing and much like I've always expected him to be. A complex character enraged and felt betrayed by his father for which he adored. It's gratifying your ability to characterize him in such a way. You truly thought this out. And I see that and appreciate it. The epilogue much like the prologue was simplistic and yet charming. I thought it was wonderful and a great way to end the tale. From the beginning it was an epic story and ending like an epic story. Congratulations, your story was perfection. And I fell in love. |
HelleBelle chapter 22 . 1/1/2014 Even thought it wasn't the ending I expected I'm still captivated by this story. The ending that you wrote fitted the story perfectly and I glad it isn't any other way. |
HelleBelle chapter 21 . 1/1/2014 Oh no...please spare them both |
