this is a great story, but i do think changing the year of when triwizard tournament happened is easier than messing up the whole aging system, and by connection, timeline in hogwarts and the wizarding world.

27 chapters of angst and the only victory Harry/Rial gets is landing one stupefy during that Hogsmeade visit and one harmless prank. I get there's a sequel, but like come on. He gets humiliated, punched, slapped around, almost commits suicide, abandoned in the graveyard, but its all washed away by Zachary growing long hair for a week.

You gotta hit a somewhat believable balance between angst and satisfaction, even if not perfectly equal.

I really enjoyed this story.
I loved Harry's name change to Riel.
The fact that Zachary was leaving Riel to the Dark Lord and escaped like a coward proves once and for all that he is PURE evil of a brother in my book.
I like that Riel has a good circle of friends.
It was terrible the torture that Riel went through with the Dark Lord after Zachary abandoned him.
I can only hope that he heals fast as he prepares for the next year.
Onward to the sequel.
