|Reviews for Loss Of Essence|
| Sinfonia Nova chapter 1 . 11/15/2009
I recently re-watched the movie, and was interested to see that there were some Dr. Strangelove stories here. I think you did a good job of mixing absurdity and seriousness, as the film does. It was difficult to tell when Ripper was crazy and when he was sane, and the form of a monologue fitted this unsettling Poe-like setup well.
I wasn't sure about a couple of paragraphs in the middle where Ripper talks about his desire for universal acceptance and such-it seemed against character, as he's so dead-set against "Commies". But then again, it could be just his more reasonable side showing through.
Anyway, look forward to reading more of your work.
