| flairina chapter 1 . 1/3
Interesting... one has to wonder if the "Beast" was made that way by human hands, or if he was born that way. The town seems to lack a little something the original tales have. Perhaps they simply seem a little bland; if they took the "beast" as the entire town's theme, say, had a holiday or customs based around it, it may have made for a better environment to visualize and believe in. The second half is very well executed, seems like a very fitting ending. Well done.

Thoughtful, with just that little dash of melancholy - the perfect moods for a Kino tale.
I appreciate your exploration of the relationship between artist, creation and audience.
How ironic that a reviled "monster" advises Kino to lighten up!
