| ataecina chapter 1 . 2/1/2020 I haven't read Ouran for many years, so my memory might not serve correct. Kyouya's trouble with opening his emotions and the conclusion the manga had with that left a stale taste in my mouth. He never branched out to state what he wanted, he stayed in the background so the romance between Haruhi and Tamaki. I understand why, he wasn't the type of character that was able to hurt his best friend but I wish he was more honest like Hikaru. So, it's nice to see a well written story that touches on this sensitive subject in a manner that allows Kyouya to be direct. Writing this narrative around a piano was a very smart way to get him to open up and for Haruhi to work her comforting magic.. the type of magic Kyouya is charmed by. |
