A difficult read, for the right reasons I hasten to add. The one aspect of intelligence Hermione struggles with is emotional intelligence. As you point out, Ginny has her own issues which need addressing and yet Hermione is blind to them. Broken as Harry is by her departure, he would hate what Hermione planned for his wife.

A standing ovation for your Hermione and your fic, this was so so marvelously and deliciously dark. And yes, I think too that this Hermione was a likely possibility in the canon, but not so murderously vengeful immediately, even for Harry; I always thought she's more like a calculating and cold fury tipe woman, that, eventually and with more offences accumulated against her or her loved ones, explotes then with the kind of reaction we have read in this story, pasionate yes but still in control. Mostly I think this because, well, her major instances of vengeance were planed in some way and not immediately executed until later in the story, at least not hte instances of the fifth book.

Please note:
At no point did the author claim what Hermione did was legal. He did not even claim it was ethical. But he did make a solid argument that the punishment is moral.
(Remember, ethics is what society thinks is right. Moral is what YOU think is right.)
And... Ginny is Judged and Punished by a POWERFUL WOMAN in a position of authority with some serious PTSD issues.
Anyone who believes some women would not do something like this, if they could, has not been paying attention!

This Hermione is brilliant, scary and utterly devoted to Harry, even if he isn’t her husband/lover. Not make him unhappy, or suffer the consequences.

I almost give up your fanfic because I thought it was an another Ginny!bashing but I think you raised some interesting view on her. Ginny's link with Tom was never brought up again but it's not stupid to say there is a connexion between her feelings for Harry and Tom's obsession for him.

Hermione is very dangerous but she's over-reacting. This is not her business and when she acted like this with Marietta, Umbridge and Skeeter it was directly connected with her or the safety of her friend.

Strangely, I think Hermione could have this behaviour with Malefoy and I never understand why people ship them. He's a spoiled racist brat and he put all the school in danger. They almost died because of him. Dark!Hermione will crush him not fuck him.

Oh, I loved this. I feel like this is a beautiful rendition of Hermione; powerful, intelligent, loyal, and ruthless.

My opinion of this Hermione...obsessed much? This drifts into psychological torture more than anything. I see where she's coming from but she's taking it all way too personally which is extremely unhealthy.

Plus wouldn't Harry be better off if she waited until after the divorce to torture GinGin? I mean, now he's going to be stuck with a catatonic wife, won't he? He needs to be free to marry Luna...
