| Tomas the Betrayer chapter 11 . 3/14/2011
How wonderful that you chose to employ one of my favorite new characters in the Batman mythos, Cassandra Cain! And now it all makes sense. There was the shadow from under the van at the end of one chapter, as well as Lex wondering why Psycho's cage door was shut. With all that in mind, the reason for why the Doctor's fear projections involved a black demon woman with stitches on her face comes to light! Was there anything I missed? So she was hiding out in the box with him. Well, I'm sure she had her reasons, that sultry little living weapon.
Just a tad disappointed that we didn't get to see Robin flying to the island and being greeted by Lex in a grass skirt and Cass wearing a coconut bra. That would have been one for the ages. And let me take this opportunity to congratulate you on the use of the Manhandlers as your villains. Just the right measure of casual heartlessness, self-righteousness, and plausibility for it to make sense coming from them. Though to be honest, when they were mentioned we did automatically assume you meant J'onn. That's the trouble with giving so many DC characters the same title, I suppose. Probably a real hassle when dialing the operator too.
You plan to go on from here? Perhaps a look at how the world will change as a result? Tomas looks forward to it. Good job on this idea, fellow writer! Pleasant dreams.

Dang, now I want to see a sequel with these three.

So here I am, after reading All-Star Supes, desperately looking for a "good Luthor" story. I don't remember how many hops and skips from google anymore, but here I am, chapter 26. Hot damn, you hit all the right notes for me. All the badass moments, the detached look battles he participates in (does he even sweat? does he even know fear?
Man, I love your Luthor, and I loved Eve and Mercy. He got the ending he deserved, and I loved the little multiverse tie up there. Also, pointing out that people actually remembered the '86 Crisis blew my mind. Was that even canon?
Also, nice Patrice Steward speeches; watching him explain that the earth has been invaded dozens of times, humanity is just too badass to kick the bucket. Plot armor helps.
Great job, and Congrats on finishing this.
Also, I like your space battles! Write more of those next time!

Just read the epilogue. I figured Lex would get out somehow - he still has enough super-villain mojo to escape inescapable death before he leaves a lack of body.
So the sequel is Team Lex explores the multiverse? That could be cool. Re-hashing DC Comics can be enjoyable only to a point. Lex stretching himself in new territory should be exciting.
BTW, I noticed that you did a wonderful job of avoiding Mary-Sue and curbstomp tendencies. Excellent work!

I really did enjoy the bit about Lex flirting with two beautiful women who weren't intimidated by him. Perhaps loyalty is a bigger aphrodisiac than one might think? Certainly seems that way for him. I never heard of Chemo before, but watching Luthor work to solve the problem of its existence was a real treat. You added just the right touch of brilliance and humanity to his interaction with Mercy, who incidentally looks quite fetching in the morning attire you conjured up. With the addition of Deadshot, things are starting to take off now. Still here, and enjoying myself immensely, this is Tomas the Betrayer!

Thank you for this story, I only caught it when you updated the epilogue, but I'm definitely going to keep any of your future works in mind.

Firstly, you are the most awesome person ever. I'm a sucker for these kinds of stories, but I never thought that I'd see one with Lex Luthor. Secondly, please, tell me that you're doing a sequel? Preferrably massive crossovers? Although, that might kind of ruin the tone of the story...Eh. Whatever you want, really.

Close to Space Opera epic.
| Banichi chapter 1 . 3/7/2011
I just added your fic to tvtropes DCAU fanfic section.
Fantastic work. This is one of the most entertaining DC stories I've ever read. Thank you for completing it.

127 reviews. 127 reviews! An outrage I tell you. This fic deserves more than 127 reviews. 500 maybe. probably more. Still, good story. Even better ending.
| nick012000 chapter 26 . 3/7/2011
If you make a sequel, will you have this Lex at least pass through the early-season Smallville universe, when Lex and Clack were still friends? How this Lex would affect that Lex would be quite interesting, as would his interactions with the alternate-dimensional version of his father. Also, Clark and Chloe's reactions to the alternate-universe Lex would be funny to watch.
| PhilH chapter 26 . 3/6/2011
A great ending to a very well-done story! Tho I do tend to think Mercy could do very well with a ring. :)
If you choose to do a follow-up (or 2) to this I'll be glad to read them but as it stands it was great.
Thanks for the great work.
