Wow...that's just broken...I must say, people have done this before, but I've never seen it done for more than 3 chapters of *dreams*, 30 is an all time record, especially when each of your chapters are roughly 5400 words long...so 162,000 words of work was all a dream? Huh...? I can get the plot premise, despite you actually skipping the battle, it's a fun idea...but why on earth were Yui and Kyoko inside 01 and 02? That I can't really understand, there's no reason why they would be in the Unit's to be taken to the alter-verse...

Also, where's canon Rei? She vanished after the battle, hasn't been seen or noted to exist since...

...Gendou just had a punchout with the freakin President of America...What's more, judging from earlier words rather than be put into the doghouse with Yui, he scored some instead just by playing the "All part of the Plan" card, which apparently is an automatic turn-on for any Ikari providing the plan is devious enough...

Interesting alternate Sandalphon battle, so in this version I'm guessing Kaowaru woke up Sandalphon early? As such, it was far more dangerous when it did appear, especially mind controlling the entire base. Is Unit 00 now gone? It was pulverized and apparently it's core was destroyed, so does that mean Rei no longer has a Unit to pilot? They are running out of EVA's indeed...I mean Rei is almost a mini-Evangelion by herself with her insane strength and abilities, but still weaker than a Unit even if she did Falcon Punch an Angel halfway to destruction.

Why do I get this distinct feeling that Ichi isn't a person, but a reference, as in refers to *One*, refers to...Unit 01?

Is this Ichi friend that Shinji has known all along actually been Unit 01 itself? Is that why you wrote that it *chose* him back in Chapter 1? And why it seems to work so well with him? I could be pulling a theory out of my backside, but now I've said it, it seems to make too much sense. Only disparity being how Unit 01 is so fluently capable of communication.

...I'm kinda lost on this Sythesis system difference and how it works.

So far, we can see that Unit 01 has a higher synch rate than canon, and that it was referred to as a "She". Secondly, when Shinji went into a meditative state, it apparently responded giving an odd greeting back with seven red eyes, apparently able to communicate with him on some level. Now it turns out it can independently create Wormholes to Shinji's location if it needs to...that and apparently Unit 01 CHOSE Shinji before he even saw the Evangelion as it's user according to Misato.

Weird...my only guess is that it's a variant of somehow inserting versions of Rei into the system. That would explain red eyes and strangely cheery greeting to him if they are based off the current Rei, although why the EVA chose him, I dunno...

This has to be my favorite chapter so far.

I haven't read all of this story. Heck, I haven't even watched all of the original TV series of NGE (though I somehow know plenty about it, I just didn't want to experience the mind#& *). All I know is that this is 100 or so chapters of pure AWESOME. The alternate character interpretations are AWESOME (though I'm a bit ambivalent towards Asuka), the crossovers are AWESOME, and the Rei is AWESOME. This manages to have both the craziness of fan inspired fiction with a professional writing touch and polish, which strangely enough, makes the story, AWESOME.

Overall, this is the 20% cooler version of NGE (At least from what I've read, and I've read a lot). And that, is pretty AWESOME.

Shinji, sweetheart, I hate to be the party pooper but It's your JOB to kill the Angels. Just because it interrupted your fun-fun time with Asuka doesn't mean that you don't have to murder The thing. That means that you need to FREAKING annihilate it!

REI, I LOVE YOU!
