Great chapter, can't wait to see more. I wonder does Itachi think he will ever be welcome back to the Leaf? I really REALLY don't think he will be welcome back ever for what he did, i mean he killed a village icon.

I came across this story years ago, I'm glad to see you back again

you know I still find it funny people think their is some all powerful council makes me laugh so hard and they think it has any real power over the hokage. But what do you know people just like the whole council thing to blame stuff on. Ah there is a Go-Ikenban that has two people on it that report to the hokage. There was three but Danzo got kicked off reason why? Well Danzo was a prick that couldn't let go of the hate from the clan waring days. Or should I say inherited it from the 2nd hokage if you don't know the 2nd hokage was the one that screwed every thing up by breaking up the friendship of Madara Uchiha and the 1st hokage that lead up to their fight in the first place that guy(2nd hokage) just couldn't let go of his hate and try his best to screw over the Uchiha clan.

when word reached Konoha's leadership of a planned coup d'état by the Uchiha clan, Danzō took advantage of Itachi Uchiha's pacifist tendencies and convinced him to provide him and the other elders with information of the clan's actions. Determined to protect the village in his own way and believing that Shisui may try to manipulate him as well, Danzō stole and implanted the right Mangekyō Sharingan of Shisui Uchiha shortly before his death. When Hiruzen decided to end the coup diplomatically, Danzō secretly met with Itachi and inveigled him into choosing to slaughter his clan by presenting him with the option of killing them and sparing his younger brother, Sasuke Uchiha or having them all killed. Itachi regretfully chose to agree to killing the Uchiha clan.

Soon after performing the deed, Danzō told everyone that Itachi had done this, having grown to despise his clan and even sought greater power by stealing Shisui's eyes. While everyone else believed this fabricated story, Hiruzen saw through Danzō's lie, voicing his disgust at Danzō's actions. While trying to justify his actions by saying it was for the village, Hiruzen retorted that the Uchiha was part of the village. No longer able to trust Danzō and his underhanded ways, Hiruzen immediately removed him from the Konoha Go-Ikenban and ordered for the Root division to be , Itachi, disguised as a Root member, approached Danzō and threatened to expose Konoha's secrets to the other countries if Danzō ever harmed Sasuke. He met with Tobi around this time for as yet unknown reasons. Over the years, despite his Root division being officially disbanded, Danzō continued to keep it secretly active.

The Konoha Council (木ノ葉ご意見番, Konoha Go-Ikenban, Literally meaning: Tree Leaf Honoured Opinion Watch) exists to help the Hokage govern the village and to make sure all decisions are made with the best interest of Konoha and its inhabitants in mind.

Although the Hokage always has the final say in the matter, the councillors are there to give their opinions and advice, thus making sure the decisions made are fair and take into account all possibilities and viewpoints. Both have decades' worth of experience and knowledge and hold a social position similar to that of the Hokage. They exert great influence over the governing of Konoha and have garnered wide support from the village's shinobi and are regarded with the same respect as that of the Hokage. It was up to them to choose a new Hokage after the Third Hokage died.

Even though they were close friends with the Third Hokage and held the same general view of how to run the village, they are somewhat more militant. This has caused them to side with the Third Hokage's rival, Danzō, on several occasions. The most notable occurrence of this was when the Uchiha clan started dissenting against the village. Although the Third Hokage wanted to try and solve the situation peacefully, Danzō and the councillors saw this as futile and wanted to remove the Uchiha threat altogether. This eventually led to the Uchiha Clan Downfall. Because Danzō acted without his consent, the Third removed Danzō from the council and officially disbanded the Root organisation.

Because of their advanced age and experience, they see the Fifth Hokage as an inexperienced novice. This often leads to conflicts when they hold different opinions, such as when the councillors wanted to restrict Naruto Uzumaki's movements against the Fifth Hokage's will. They still have respect for the Hokage's position, though, and have been show to be willing to compromise with her, as long as the village's best interests are kept in mind.

It's a great story. I'm wanting to know how you will continue.

I know this maybe late, I know that you could have decided a few things already but to the whole dark thing, Sakura and her original treatment of Naruto can be consider on the dark side, Naruko the female version of Naruto can be similar to how Gara was when those to met because of Naruto almost being that way himself, Hinata having a backbone instead of being so shy, Ino like Sakura always telling Naruto to shut up even if she never hit him like Sakura did, Tenten I am not sure on how to have her dark but as some have suggested she was an Orphan like Naruto so maybe she can poke fun at that in some way, Temari being her cold self before Naruto gave her brother back to her when Gara threaten to kill his family.

So great to have you back. One of the best narusaku stories and one of the best Naruto stories, period.
Now I gotta reread it a third time.

I want you to know that with the long space between the last two chapters I have to start all over from chapter one since I forgot how the story was going. No matter, it's a good story and one that I enjoyed reading the first time.

Obito has his original eye in his right eye, and he gave the 'good' one to Kakashi.
You said he has only his left eye, which is incorrect, as his right side side is crushed, however, he gave his left eye to Kakashi, which I mentioned above, leaving him with the right eye.

Dude, I love this story, I really do. But. What IS it with you and your comma obsession?

Damn, It's been a long time coming and totally worth it. I cannot wait to see the next chapter in my inbox.
