OMG...this stories sweet!
| Ponytail Goddess chapter 1 . 4/16/2006
This is good so far...I'm glad to have finally stumbled upon a good B/V fic here. Nice work.
| Pudgoose chapter 19 . 4/14/2006
Oh no way... I can't believe it's over...
What a perfect ending. I'm so glad you stopped it where you did, and at the pace you did. I was afraid the ending might feel too rushed as sometimes happens in some stories, but... ah, everything was perfect. And the laptop gift! That was the SWEETEST thing!
Well... with an ending like this, I believe I can accept that the story's over. Oh, and especially since you've got two more to continue it...
In my opinion, the tale was overall well constructed, thorough, unique and well-written, in so many genres. It addressed issues of the mind, the human (and Sayian) personality, and society. It addressed moral rights and wrongs, and the eternal question of, "Is a wrong still wrong in exceptional cases?" Your story even employed motifs and well-placed symbols.
This had the makings of a well-rounded piece of literature. I commend your hard work. It might not receive all the notoriety that is it's well-deserved due, but it has certainly entertained the demanding tastes of fanfiction readers such as myself.
You are an author worthy of much more, but, as it is all I can give, I hope my handful of reviews have slightly sated your writer's thirst. Your story has certainly quenched this reader's.

Well if that wasn't a nail-biting chapter, I don't know what was... The suspense was great! Congrats.
OH! And it finally struck me why Vegeta would never rape anyone! Because he was raped himself! AH, so THAT'S why he'd never commit that crime, even though he committed so many others... It all makes sense now!
Ehehe... I'm so slow...
| Pudgoose chapter 17 . 4/14/2006
Oh my gosh. Holy crap. That is so disgusting. Man...
I... um... well... I'll just push aside the grossness for the moment, if I can. Uh.. Vegeta's dreams were fascinating and unique. Props to you there. His reaction to seeing the fake moon was good too. But you know, what I think is MOST fascinating, now that I've gotten to the end of the chapter, is the scene between Raditz and Nappa when Nappa said that Frieza had been "riding Vegeta harder than usual." 1, it was a good use of foreshadowing, and 2, Raditz's reaction was very powerful. It's true that actions speak louder than words and, well, for some reason Raditz's humor in that instance really made me hate him. So... congratulations. I usually love Raditz...

*Bursts into giggles* Vegeta, comparing his size to Yamcha's? Oh man, that's too much... hehe! hoho! haha!
Ahem... Very funny. But onto something else... you've got a very interesting insight into Vegeta's brain, here, and so many interesting additions to his character. I loved the scene with the laptop, of course, 'cause that brought his technical side into light again... But the thought of him being far-sighted is really fascinating! Even more so because, as I learned in biology a couple weeks ago, eyes adapted to see farther distances are usually reserved for predators... COOLNESS! I love it when stories and facts collide! BAM!
The scene with the shy child was very moving, too. Of course, he's a very real representation of the Vegeta on Earth. Yet again, explaining his troubled past with the concept of malicious people picking on his height. I'm sure that's only *part* of what you intended to convey, but you did it with a very creative and powerful comparison.
So I suppose that children are another powerful symbol you've utilized, just like the whole angelic and demonic images.
Gosh I love this story.
I can't wait to read the next chapter and hear more of your insights into Vegeta's past... Gotta love that angst.
| Pudgoose chapter 15 . 4/14/2006
Aw... love is so sweet!
I wonder, though, what will come of Vegeta's "rethinking" his training. ... Well, I certainly pick the strangest points to ponder on... Hehehe.
| Pudgoose chapter 14 . 4/9/2006
Whew, I'm so glad that V'Nhar spell is gone. As much as the thought of a "corpsy" Raditz and Nappa is entertaining, I don't really want to see poor Vegeta struggling again...
Oh my gosh, and I so totally misinterpreted the storyline. Man... I thought the DBZ Posse was looking for Bulma all this time. AND I thought that Bulma had actually called up her father in the last chapter to come see Vegeta. I was all like, "A doctor? Is Dr. Briefs a doctor of medicine...?"
Everything makes sense now, though. Ehehehe...
And I know I didn't mention this in my review of the last chapter, but that "Father keeps calling me to come home" line is probably the best thing I've read in a LONG while. I mean... that was so... unnerving, and yet SO sad. Those are the kind of sentences that... I dunno... make your bones ache.
Or something like that.

*Blinks* Wow. That was some... uh... crazy junk. I'm getting more and more weirded out the further this story goes...
BUT I LOVE IT!
| Pudgoose chapter 12 . 4/8/2006
Goody goody. Cat fight.
There was another "hell" image again. I swear, this story pops out this Heaven and Hell motif like it was some kinda Wack-a-Mole game.
| Pudgoose chapter 11 . 4/8/2006
Man, wouldn't we ALL like to be able to bang Vegeta? xD And I have to admit, despite Dorothy's bitchiness, I really liked her character.
The image of Bulma with a halo around her head is really intense. I love how you've worked in such potent imagery of angels and demons in this story... first Kami, then Raditz, now Bulma. I wouldn't say it gives the story a much deeper meaning (unless you're intending to send a different message that I haven't caught yet), but it DOES make the story seem all the more powerful. The mood of the story-and even the mood of these images-is really enhanced by having so many images back-to-back.
Oh man, I love you so much. I'm so glad that, one day, you decided to write this story. ;) I almost don't want to continue reading... 'cause then it won't be there anymore...
But I'm foolish and impulsive, SO...
I'll read on.
| Pudgoose chapter 10 . 4/8/2006
Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh! This chapter has been so FREAKIN' crazy! What kinda drugs are you trippin' on? How the hell do you come up imaging a corpse coming back from NO where to talk to Vegeta? I mean... holy crap. You're like a Tim Burton of fanfiction!
And despite my astonishment and immense surprise, I love it! Oh, this chapter is giving me the same excitement and thrills of disgust as something like The Nightmare Before Christmas...
Oh man, that scene scared me so much. I mean, not only do you write romance and suspense and fantasy well... but you've got some great horror action in here. I just kept picturing the scene before me... What could possibly be scarier than a crazy corpse threatening you? Especially if it once cowed to you!
Nothing, I tell you! NOTHING!
Whew. I really hope that was a hallucination. And I'm so glad I never have to hear about the "V'Nhar" in anything other than your story...
*Breathes* Well, now. What else? Oh my gosh, this story's just getting better and better as it goes. Could Dr. Briefs possibly have pulled together the first DBZ Posse? Hehehe, I giggled so hard when I read that... I get the feeling, though, that Dr. Briefs is probably doing something other than searching for Vegeta.
I think he's searching for Bulma.
You also had me deceived during the whole Dorothy Pereaux scene. I had no idea she was coming back... What could this all mean?
I MUST FIND OUT!
PS - YOUR STORY IS KICK-ASS!
PPS - THANKS FOR WRITING IT!
PS - I'm done now.
| Pudgoose chapter 9 . 4/8/2006
Oh! It's like The Lord of the Rings, or something. BUT ONLY BETTER! xD
Very creative, very well written. You had me drowning in lovely description and torrents of varied emotions. Thanks. It was pretty cool...
It's also kinda neat to think of a tall Vegeta, haha...
| Pudgoose chapter 8 . 4/8/2006
*Squeals* Oh my gosh, this has got to be the best chapter yet! Vegeta... WISHING THAT HE WOULD *DIE*? How dark can things get? Oh man, the agony... I feel for poor Vegeta.
And Piccolo's so insightful... Wait a second, what am I talking about? YOU'RE real insightful! The whole "irony" that Vegeta wasn't as respected as Piccolo was a real eye-opener to me. I'd never thought of that.
Both references to Piccolo's schizophrenia and Goku's bipolarity were really funny, too.
And, what else... oh, you write so freakin' well. It makes me hang my head in shame, sometimes, thinking about it. I mean, considering how drawn out and suspenseful the intent of Vegeta's wish was... and considering how many words I had to look up the meaning to...
My word of the day, btw, is subterfuge. Hehehe...
| Pudgoose chapter 7 . 4/8/2006
*Gasp!* Oh my gosh! I totally feel Bulma's pain! Ah, the angst! Poor, poor Bulma.
And that last line, "She was alone now, too." That was a great way to end the chapter. Oh yea... being alone is such a scary, saddening feeling...
But if you'll excuse me, Imma read on!
