And the plot thickens... Very good chapter; loved the Norm/Hnene. She's finally being nice to the ugly duckling! One nitpick: Norm mentions going to uni, but in North America, it's known as college or university.

I also liked the explanation for why children are conceived in the rainy season. Makes sense! And yay for more Ote'lo cuteness. :)

Great chapter! Very long, with a lot of events in it. My favorite part was when Norm was just rambling to Hnene about getting into the Avatar training program; I really enjoyed your version of how it went.

awesome update! however i can't help but notice a slight reduction in quality of this chapter, as certain events appear to be rushed or glossed over (from my point of view, maybe it is not an issue to other readers). I would have liked it better if events such as the one with Astiri at the Tree of Voices could have been expanded on as something as important as this should have some significance in the plot. But everyone has their own views. the ending with the scene at earth is again a great way to build the suspense on what is bound to happen in the future!

Simply beautiful chapter. I think you write an especially good Norm.

She hits, she scores! And the crowd goes wild! Damn, I wish I could write a tale the way you can. I love reading stories about Pandora that add to what Cameron created with Avatar, and Hybrid is the best. It provides us with an insight into how the Na'vi actually live by weaving in what is known from the various resources, as well as (I think) some perceptive extrapolations of your own.

I like the continued development of Norm as a character, and getting a feel for some of the other humans that stayed behind on Pandora. The ongoing isses with the humans on earth brings a reminder that things are probably going to get messy again.

So Neytiri has a new spot? Hm, I wonder whether that does mean she is with child, or if it is something else. I can't remember where I saw it, but I thought I read somewhere that the bioluminescent spots on Na'vi can change after the mating bond, as the couple's spots tend to align. I'm not sure if it was from a fanfic or something closer to canon. I couldn't see it in the survival guide so perhaps it is just fanon. Then again, perhaps they do and that was how Tsu'tey worked out so quickly that Jake and Neytiri had mated?

Another great chapter, and I'm looking forward to more.
