I read this story about ten years ago and recently rediscovered it.
It's an amazing story that really takes you on a wild adventure. One of the best things I have read in my life. *chef's kiss*

I know this isn't the chapter that this came up in, but I was throwing that idea at my roommate and couldn't resist reviewing now. (I'm drunk and I'm going to regret this. I just know it.)
The whole idea of the Volturi not 'realizing' time anymore and just living without interacting and having anything interesting coming up? I loved it.
I mean, I am team Volturi, not gonna lie. And I'm new to fanfics from the Cullen perspective, where the Volturi are the antagonist. But this thing with them not really 'feeling time' just made me think. The last ten years went by so fast for me, how would one- no, two thousand years even feel?
In the 'pro Volturi' fics I've read, the three kings have always been so close, and the idea of them being apart while still together is just so good. I mean yes, they live together, but Vampires are so long living, I don't think they have a lot of things to do and in the meantime, I can imagine that the three of them really just live in one place but separated lives.
This idea. I love it.
