|Reviews for Surrender|
| Snikerdoodles chapter 1 . 9/23/2011
LOVE! This to me is like the realistic version of new moon. Bella was healing, she was still broken, but on her way to a semi-healthy life (despite her habit of sexin), but of course Edward comes back blowing up her world. I loved how his character grew, yet he still had a young vulnerability to him, he was the same but different. They were wizened by their time apart, and when they came back together it was just perfection, a balance they couldn't achieve before.
Oh and random thing, generally I do not find smoking attractive, but really Edward makes it hot as hell... just saying lol

Ah yes. Beautiful. As always. Your words make me believe in love. I rarely favorite an author, but you deserve to be all favorites.

Thanks for recommending this fic! It was a beautiful, haunting piece.

I loved it ! I loved their fighting because how can u just forgive so easily, u'd always be so worried they'd leave or sleep with someone else, they had to know how much they love each other before the change! So much emotion is was amazing :-D
| Uk Alice chapter 2 . 9/24/2010
I love all the emotions of this how your words make us feel the pain of both of them!
| Uk Alice chapter 1 . 9/23/2010
Ermm... Yeah... Well... Yeah... So good! I just loved it!
| Wanda Walker chapter 1 . 9/22/2010
This story really makes me want to read Ernest Hemmingway's "Hills Like White Elephants" Read it and then tell me how necessary adjectives are to get a powerful message across.
| EvilReceptionistOfDoom chapter 1 . 9/22/2010
You know... it may just be me, but kumquats are just... not that sexy. Just a thought.

Och. A pain in my chest and weepiness have come over me. By rights, I should have reviewed after each chapter but this was set at such a galloping pace that I was sallying forth with it too. There are several aspects of 'Surrender' I admire. But I suspect the issue of space might encourage brevity here. I'll start with revealing something I've been musing about for awhile. I've often wondered about the consequences of Edward leaving and his subsequent return. Let's just say the canon leaves a lot to be desired. Now, here in 'Surrender' there's the sense of realism and credibility. The long road towards healing that festering wound and re-acquainting themeselves with each other is painted beautifully. And painfully. The hurtful words thrown at a lover is heartfelt and real too. And yes, together, their chemistry is certinaly not lax or lackluster. And this is captured beautifully in vignettes. The poeticism rendered the harshness of their physical and emotional lives apart, the barrenness, the wasteland that they lives descended into. But it also captured the stark beauty and pain when they returned to each other older, wiser, scarred. Bella, understandably, is harsh in twisting the knife but who can blame her? But most of all, Bella's change is also metaphor and signifier of their metamorphosis into someting other. There is great beauty in that change. Thanks for sharing this. I wish I could say more but Ffn is acting weird again...
| Jay's World chapter 3 . 8/23/2010
A Twist of Edward. It all ends with the demigod. Weepy? Emotional. It's your talent, it makes me weep with envy and admiration. If that is so, then call me emo. I don't care, but I do because you did.
| Jay's World chapter 2 . 8/23/2010
The begging always bothered me, how she had to 'get down on her knees' just to get a kiss. It's called giving and receiving pleasure, Edward. Love is no place for selflessness. And yet it is as the same time.
| Jay's World chapter 1 . 8/23/2010
Rie, a wonder really. A reunion fit for the demigod and his goddess.
| RenaDoll chapter 3 . 8/23/2010
I suppose I should have been a tad teary eyed at the end, but I wasn't. This was beautifully written. Bella's anger and Edward's shame and regret over leaving her was just..WOW. And the love making and Bella's change..just amazing.

You kept it hidden so well right until the end. A truly happy ending. Not your usual fare. Welcome though. Lets face it they had more angst than their fair share between them. I can think of them happy now, not bitterly throwing themselves together and pulling apart, tarbaby style. I think you are the best kept secret of the fandom.

My mind is only giving me one word visuals, so here they are...raw, base, gut-wrenching, stripped, honest and just magic. Rae
