Oh my god, that chapter was so beautiful.
| Gothic-Romantic99 chapter 25 . 11/17/2011
What a wonderful story. The writing is so captivating. You've done a great job at showing a side of the series that is often not touched on. How are the characters affected by the loss of those close to them (the ones who cannot be brought back)? How do they grieve and move past tragedies? The death of Goku would be the hardest on Gohan, especially considering that he won't come back for seven years.
You've done a magnificent job showing how Gohan grieved and coped with his father's death. Nothing came off as out of character or even unrealistic given the circumstances of the original story.
The writing is amazing. I feel that your writing style is what made this story more interesting to read. You put a lot of thought in constructing how you wanted your sentences to be worried. I loved the many metaphors you've included in this piece.
That last scene with Gohan and Piccolo is great. Piccolo is not usually an affectionate person, but it's believable that he would be for Gohan alone. He knew just the right things to say about Goku to console the boy. That whole scene is lovely.
Also, nice job with describing the last scene where Gohan throws the blade away. The fact that you choose to draw out the suspense for a while before he makes the final decision is great. The ending is not disappointing.
Awesome work with this story.

Wow, this is an intense chapter. Great, great job at showing how Gohan regained his memories as well as his reaction the instant he realized everything he thought was a dream was real. The writing in this chapter is fantastic. Nice job.

Good job with this chapter. Everything was just too calm for something big not to happen at the end. What's going to happen next? Nice work with this chapter.
| Gothic-Romantic99 chapter 22 . 11/17/2011
Nice chapter. It's great how Piccolo is not allowing Gohan to stay by himself and his self-destructive thoughts. The part where Gohan is out in the rain is a nice touch to the sorrow of this story. Good work.
| Gothic-Romantic99 chapter 21 . 11/17/2011
Wonderful work with this chapter. It's not pointless, it really helps to show why Gohan blamed himself so much for what happened to his father. The writing here is gorgeous. Good work.
| Gothic-Romantic99 chapter 20 . 11/17/2011
Lovely work with this chapter. It was about time someone helped Gohan and Piccolo was just the person for that task. Nice decision with having Piccolo choose to knock Chichi out before she saw the state Gohan was in-knowing her unpredictability and for her own well-being, it was good for her not to get involved.
Wonderful work with having Piccolo talk Gohan out of a second suicide. Whether or not the "again" part was intentional or not, it was the perfect way to aid his second thoughts. I love the part where Piccolo asked Gohan to think of what Goku would think about Gohan's decision. That was the best way to get it across to the boy.
Good work with the comforting scene afterwards. Nice job showing how hard Gohan was struggling and how much harder Piccolo refused to give in. It was a powerful and well written moment.
Outstanding work with this chapter.
| Gothic-Romantic99 chapter 19 . 11/17/2011
Really nice work with this chapter. The angst is well described. Good work including the picture to show how things used to be compared to now.
I really like the paragraph where you have Gohan looking at the scars and finally accepting them as a part of him rather than being ashamed. Even though he doesn't fully remember, it's interesting that he decides he wants to cut again based on what he used to believe helped him.
Good work showing Chichi in a panicked state. Nice work using her pregnancy to further the plot by physically weakening her at the moment.
Nice job with this chapter.
| Gothic-Romantic99 chapter 18 . 11/17/2011
Very nice. It's great to see that scene through Gohan's perspective. The descriptions are amazing and the writing lovely. Good work.
| Gothic-Romantic99 chapter 17 . 11/17/2011
A very interesting chapter you have here. It's nice how you're gradually showing Gohan regain his memories.
The bit where Gohan was self-injured is well described. Showing it through a flashback works well.
The only thing I saw is that almost every time a word follows Gohan's name in the narration the two words combine. For example, in the first sentence you wrote, "Gohandid" and in the third, "Gohanquickly."
Anyway, good work with this chapter.
| Gothic-Romantic99 chapter 16 . 11/15/2011
Oh no, looks like things are starting to come together with Gohan's memories. This can't be good for everyone else.
Nice job with describing that flashback scene, it's very vivid.
Good work with this chapter.
| Gothic-Romantic99 chapter 15 . 11/15/2011
Good work with this chapter. Nice job showing how they're still working with this cover story until Gohan remembers. Good work slipping in how Chichi made a mistake with her words. It makes for some good drama.
Nice job including the flashbacks. That must be torture for Gohan to have this vague memories, but not able to actually remember. Good work with bringing the angst back into the story.
Nice work with this story.
| Gothic-Romantic99 chapter 14 . 11/15/2011
Nice job with this chapter. It was nice to see something lighter after all the dark, heavy chapters. Good work.
| Gothic-Romantic99 chapter 13 . 11/15/2011
So Gohan has amnesia-that's an interesting plot twist. This will give them a chance to start over. However if he ever recovers his lost memories, I have a feeling he won't be happy with Piccolo lying to him. Good work with this chapter.
| Gothic-Romantic99 chapter 12 . 11/15/2011
Outstanding work with this chapter. It's nice to see that Piccolo is mostly concerned with what's truly best for Gohan.
Nice work with showing the hysterical Chichi. It's an understandable reaction considering that her son has just returned from the dead and she wants to take care of him better this time.
Good work with this chapter.
