| Caitriona695 chapter 16 . 1/25/2012
I had some trouble with the earlier chapters. My brain felt that they were a little flippant when I thought the topic was going to be more "serious." Then I shook myself and read those chapters for what they were - Fun and whimsical. And I really enjoyed them.
Further in the piece I started really enjoying it. The last few chapters were wonderful! Loved them!
Thanks for sharing with us.

I can't believe I have ONLY JUST found this story! I was searching for a general drinking story about Hisagi, Kira and Matsumoto, and then I found this, which is ALSO my favourite pairing Yumichika/Ikkaku ! So far, then, my favourite Bleach fanfiction! I love it, it's brilliantly written and i'm laughing out loud every other paragraph. I know you wrote this a while ago, and I'm reviewing in-time, but I hope you read this because I want you to know that i love it :)

This is amazing! At first, the title didn't really sound that appealing, but i am extremely happy that i did! You are a very skilled writer and you proved that in the way you managed to combine romance, angst, drama and humour all in one! Bravo, fantastic fic :D

2 thumbs up.
it's funny, the relationship is natural, the issue was tackled. It was simply marvelous!
Good Job. I have fun reading this fic!

I must say I'm highly impressed with your story. I just finished reading all 16 chapters and I STILL have no idea how you managed to have such a humorous fic (which was borderline crack for a lot of it) that still somehow revolved around a REAL, dramatic, angsty, beautiful plot. I'm stunned. It was such a roller coaster of emotions. And just when the angst would begin to snowball, you'd insert that wonderful humor of yours to lighten the story again. I'm so glad I decided to read the whole thing. I was a bit weary at the very beginning because I thought it was just going to be a ridiculous crack fic, and I wasn't in the mood for one. But then I saw the plot begin to develop, and you piqued my interest. Wonderful story you have here, and I thank you for sharing it with us. :)

It's incredible I tried to avoid this fic for weeks. Let me tell you that the title didn't hook me at first sigth, but after seeing it on the list for a little time I decided to give the story a it's awsome, you made me cry, you made me laugh , you moved all my emotions in a row. Besides your investigation is very accurate, my uncle runs a rehab center and it was scary the way you describe some of the processes almost by heart, Really congratulations. I would like another story, please?

I really like your version of how Ikkaku and Yumichika met - I get sick of reading fics where Yumi is a snivelling pussy who cries at the slightest thing, so I was pretty damned excited when he went and broke that guy's arm and then proceeded to threaten Ikkaku with having his ass handed to him! Very smooth, Ayasegawa-san! :D I also really liked the argument between the two of them - the way they both reacted seemed very fitting.
I like the way that you write from Ikkaku's POV - the way you've portrayed him as being quite intelligent and sensitive underneath that ballsy, ever-so-slightly-psychotic exterior works really well.

I love you. I really do.
Oh lord, I'm really sorry that it's taken me so long to review this, but my computer died on me recently and it's taken awhile to get it fixed and for whatever reason, fanfiction net is blocked at my local library. Hm.
Anyway, about the fic... oh my God. One of my favorite fanfictions ever, and I mean that. The depth of the emotions you've managed to portray in these characters takes a skilled hand, for sure. And you've written these characters truer to themselves than I've ever seen anyone do it. The resolution was brilliant. No magic fixes, no sudden wake-up-and-everything's-better; a long challenge for Ikkaku and Yumichika that they both committed to completely. It makes Yumichika's eventual recovery so much for satisfying than if he had just opened his eyes and been 100%.
I love the little bits with Kira, Hisagi, and Matsumoto. Throughout the whole story all of the characters- not just the main ones- have been a joy to read for. And the little flashbacks to Yumikkaku's Rukongai past gives the whole thing EVEN MORE DEPTH. WHICH EQUALS STARTLING AMOUNTS OF DEPTH FOR A FANFIC.
You are amazingly talented. You blend humor, romance, angst and tragedy masterfully while manipulating characters into very entertaining but very human situations.
I love this. So hard. Oh God write more stories please. Afgjksa;;sjfgdjgsdfairuqaq.
| Picoroo chapter 16 . 4/22/2010
Sorry it's taken me so long to review, I was away for a while, and completely forgot.
That was such a lovely ending, I'm happy to see that Yumi got better (Even if it did take a while), and that Ikkaku managed to keep his promise of not drinking. I love the little flashbacks, they explained the recovery process without going into way too much detail that could have made the story even longer (Not that I would have been complaining, but still) Yumi definately seems loopier, if that would even be possible
Overall it was a fantastic read, and I look forward to seeing anything else you come up with
