Great story, very compelling. Can’t stop reading it. I thin Edward needs to sit down with Carlisle and demand a truthful answer to the reason why he lied to him, and it better be a REALLY good reason. Maybe he was afraid Edward would take it too hard and be unsafe driving home in such a condition. Maybe he wasn’t even sure Edward WOULD come home for Carlisle if Esme was already gone. There could be a lot of reasons but it really better be good if he wants forgiveness.

I bet it was Edward at the door pounding because he probably panicked when he saw her stuff all over the ground outside. And because she was so freaked out and in flashback/PTSD mode, she thinks it’s James but it is really Edward. That’s my theory.

I was surprised that James signed the papers so easily. I was waiting for him asking
for something, like Bella coming to see him before he signed.
Edward should have asked Bella at her house in front of the fire before they went to
bed. People always ask how did he propose, how do you tell your future kids that
you were naked in bed after love making.

Edward and Charlie should have made it clear to Bella that they didn't know that
James was in Forks when he took Bella. That Charlie had someone watching him
and they thought he was still in Phoenix. Also, Charlie told Edward not to tell Bella.
Edward should have refused but it bares mentioning that it wasn't a joint decision.
Bella needs to take her time and do what feels comfortable for her. Edward needs
to work on himself and be patient, it's the least he deserves. He needs to realize
that words hurt and can't just be taken back. He keeps making the same mistakes
over and over again with the consequences getting more severe with each episode.

Edward did technically stumble on the cabin by accident but he was told not to
be in the area.
Poor Bella, her injuries are bad, I am glad she wasn't raped.
I'm glad Edward has decided to get him, he needs it.

How can she hear them banging but they can't hear her? That doesn't sound feasible.

Bella's been with that psycho for a week. I can't imagine what he is doing to her.
What is his plan? His only chance of going back to the way things were is to head
back to Phoenix while hoping to get Bella in line, like he did the last time. Her
cooperation is his only chance of keeping her. Now it just looks like he kidnapped
her and there is no coming back from that.

God! You really made Edward a whiny pussy in this story. Everything is always about
him. He can't listen or take anyone else in consideration. I think he needs to grow up
or see a therapist.
Now when he finds out that Bella is gone he's is going to be a sorry whiny bitch again.
I would think it might take a long time to realize Bella is gone but hopefully when he
leaves the diner he will see her car and be clued in.
Not telling Bella that James has been in Forks is a big mistake. She needed to know he
has been around so that she can be more careful and watch her surroundings.
