If Sirius had taken Harry, he wouldn't have chased Pettigrew, and therefore would never be framed

Is it a good apology by the father? I dunno. If the ass hadn't been so stubborn about not even looking at the evidence that convinced others sooner, "his apology" wouldn't be necessary because he'd have already helped get Sirius and Harry there before this. It's good he eventually saw reason, but I'd think he still owed some groveling for his previous behavior.

So this president is magically as strong as Dumbledore? I guess I can swallow that, although it seems a bit unlikely. Especially since it's not like in Dumbles' situation where he got his positions after defeating Grindelwald, this guy was apparently a politician that got elected. What are the chances such a powerhouse would spend their time doing politics (instead of other magical pursuits) and running for president?

Mustang proves to be a bit of a coward here with the President. Hold out the file after his last little tantrum and yell back, "Read the file!" Stare him in the eyes angrily. Hold the file out to him. He's not stupid. He'll figure out you must have a reason for pulling such a stunt when he's already threatened your career. He'll read what you found and see the same things you did.

Or he could've explained the situation in a more round about manner before saying the name of the person so this whole misunderstanding could've been avoided...
