I'd argue that this is a symptom of the actual issue, which is a lack of expressed love.

You can love someone, emotionally, while showing none at all, and I see a lot of people fail to express love, or perhaps mistake lust for it. Sex is an expression of love as well as lust. So if you have neither, or express neither, your relationship isn't going well.

This doesn't mean it isn't possible to have a very loving relationship without sex, it very much is. But lack of sex is a very obvious symptom of the actual problems in many relationships

I think the people you had trouble with don't understand that a kink doesn't make up someone's entire personality.

How the hell is that supposed to make sense? How can you isolate something from the rest, if it still is one with the rest, because it hasn't been split yet?
The exact opposite is what makes sense. We know the act of murder causes the splitting. After that the "spell" that Slughorn hints at in that memory could then be used to place that soul piece in some object.
And souls shouldn't heal quickly at all. Canonically, healing your soul would require remorse (which makes perfect sense) - and that's hardly something that would happen within an instant after you committed a murder.

And what the hell were you thinking, first cheapening the Defence mastery to the point of worthlessness (a mastery is supposed to entail a multi-year apprenticeship under a real master, not just another worthless exam), just so you can show off how "great" your Harry is - and that shortly after showing how utterly useless your wannabe Defence Master Harry is, when he gets his ass handed to him by a boy his own age?

And guess what's even more pathetic than that?

Seriously, this is clearly one of the most pathetic versions of the Harry Potter character I've ever seen in fanfiction (and Hermione and many others aren't any better).
And the rest of this story reads like a planlessly cobbled together collection of pointless, unoriginal, overused and often enough utterly stupid cliches.

After reading "Cold Blood" I had expected so much better from one of your stories. What an utter disappointment.

Now instead of the Dark Lord, Harry now has to take on Dumbledore and his fanatic ways.
