I can’t believe I had only just gotten to this fic now. But I’m glad I did eventually. Fate’s Favorite was and still is, an emotional roller coaster. From the dominance battles to the power plays between Tom and Harry, the fic really made me go up, down, and turn all the way around lol. Fate’s Favorite was a wonderful experience and I’m sure to think back on it with a smile on my face. Thank you, Fictionist, for this lovely fic, and the writing and characters you bestowed upon it.

This was probably the best fanfiction I've ever read.
Hands down.
Not even kidding, seriously. The wit, emotion, and sense of realism that you imbibed into your writing was truly astonishing. I LOVED the friendship/frenemy dynamic that Tom and Harry had, and you never sold it short to anything less than it was. Tom is a cruel, heartless boy(man?) who will go to any lengths to attain what he wants. You never gave him fake feelings, "mushy" scenes, and never tried to paint him kinder than he actually was. And yet, you still made their (Harry & Tom's) friendship work on a level that was breathtaking.
Thank you for the incredible journey, and cheers from one (aspiring) author to another :)

Since I started reading this story last week, it's been on my mind. I can't get enough of the interactions between Tom and Harry, they've become my OTP. Zevi was my favorite character from the Slytherin court. The plot twists were engaging and I found the ending satisfying, especially Tom's letter to Harry. Thank you for writing this. It's a beautiful story and I look forward to reading more of your work!

Oh god,I really don’t have words on how utterly marvellous and oh so gratifying this story,( and naturally, your others fics, past player and destinys darling),This is by far ,my MOST FAVOURITE fan fiction ever…
Your writing style is just soooo amazing and so is your story.I mean Honestly,the plots and twists and turns in the story,I really could never have imagined such an incredible narrative,let alone write it. While reading it I seriously doubted that you had completed this story as it seemed so …difficult to be able to find ways around the too many problems Harry and tom faced, but you managed to blow my brain away every single time,like finding a way around the prophecy,or the end game, the main end plan.I actually spent quite sometime thinking what solution you found about the end victory before reading it, I really could think of nothing, anyway this is turning into a rant..so I just want you to know, that this fanfic will always have space it my heart(VERY sentimental,I know) and I really almost cried when I saw this FF was ending,(I will miss Harry and tom soooo much) and that, after so many boring and mundane days in my life you always made me exited and truly interested and happy, and I truly,truly,truly hope that One-Day I would, once again come on this site to read and enjoy this story again.

I don't think, I've written any comments throughout the entire fic and I would like to apologize for that. I don't really comment on any fic's because I literally have no idea on what to say, till maybe towards end but that's no excuse. So I would like to say what I thought about the fic, I don't really have the words but I will try my best. Ok so, this is probably the longest fic, I've ever read, so you get an award for that. I just, really love this fic. It has everything, a good vibe, long, and the way you portrait that characters is just- amazing, actually more than amazing, it's just, you know wonderful, brilliant? I'm sorry I don't have to word's for this. But I just want you to know, how good I think this is and I really enjoyed it. Not just this fic, all of your fic's are spectacular and in general, overall pleasant to read, at least to me of course. Ah I already don't know what to write anymore, I have so much to say but I'm not sure how to put in into words, I'm so sorry. It was quiet the journey reading this. In all honestly, I have never felt so thrilled and excited in my life. Reading this was just amazing, I can't even explain. Thank you so much for updating and finishing this story. Now I know that this was finished 6 years ago but still thank you. You still updated it, even though it took 6 years. Most people would have discontinued, if a fic had run that long, I've seen that happen with many of my favourite fic's, so thank you . While you updated this story, I was very young, so I don't think I could understand this and I wasn't into reading fanfiction back than, I kinda wish I was though. Reviewing at chapter 17.

As you suggested in the introduction or A/N, the story does put a novel spin on time travel, and I like a lot of it.

However it feels like Dumbledore put a stupidity jinks on Harry or something, which makes for a poor reading experience overall.
First Harry tries to hide the blood quill damage. We're told Harry learned to be cunning, and this wasn't cunning at all.
Then with saving Sirius, Harry gives Tom the biggest leverage he's got over him for saving ONE person ONCE. In return for taking the dark mark, Harry could probably have convinced Tom to kill Voldemort, thus safeguarding all people on the list in perpetuity. Instead he saves only Sirius, and there's nothing to stop Voldemort from trying to kill Sirius again.
If Dumbledore put a stupidity hex on Harry, it's really backfired.
