| Starlit Skyline chapter 1 . 3/28/2013
Ah, Jiraiya the author, and here I was thinking that he could only write porn.
I especially like the three last lines and that Tsunade, Sarutobi and Orochimaru have some influence on his inspiration(for lack of better term).
| Skyrere chapter 1 . 11/23/2012
Pure Magic. You make me respect Jiraya. I already love the old perv.
| CrazyAce'n'PokerFace chapter 1 . 1/16/2012
ahhhhh! i loved this - but it was so painful to read! ugh. still very well-written and a surprisingly deep take on Jiraiya's writing style.
| fanofthisfiction chapter 1 . 10/26/2010
I liked the way this tale first started out as a third party perspective of events of Jiraya's life and then brought it into an introspection he does of his own life. There was great ingenuity in the construction of this story and it worked extremely well. Thanks for sharing.
| majorfangirl chapter 1 . 6/27/2010
I freaking loved this. (What a way to write something after I just read your way with words) Oh well, I killed my word brain when I went on a five hour writing spree.
Anyway, the emotion here was great and I think you really captured not only the characters, but also the heart of a writer. And so with that, I end this review.
| MonkShadow chapter 1 . 4/18/2010
You my Dear Lady have put something down that those Who care about these characters need to read.
You understand Jiraiya, and have even brought me to a better understanding of the Ero Sennin also...
Keep up the good work...
| existence555 chapter 1 . 3/1/2010
This is so great.
This piece is beautiful.
It's so Jiraiya and I love it!
Great job, you stay true to his character and your writing is wonderful. :)
| SammyQuill chapter 1 . 2/18/2010
Wow! this is just mind blowing!Your narration is so very beautiful, it made me tear up. Thank you so much for posting this.
| tayuyaflutegirl92 chapter 1 . 2/14/2010
Wow, I have no words for this, it is so introspective and deep! The idea of Tsunade "whoring her own self out to pay her gambling debts if need be" is so shocking but now that I think about it, possible. love how you portray Jiraiya, I imagine him that way too. Your writing style is greatI really like it!
| hime's-unmentionables chapter 1 . 2/14/2010
Seriously, that's all I can do. You know damn well I LOVE anything introspective and deep like this. And wistful, definitely wistful. Especially with Jiraiya.
You know the really sad thing? Just before I read this - at 3am with insomnia - I was rewatching the episode where he says goodbye to Tsunade before going off to fight Pein.
-melts some more-
| Maerchen Freunde chapter 1 . 2/12/2010
Ah, this gave me chills. So true to how I see Jiraya. Beautiful
| PSITeleport chapter 1 . 2/12/2010
Whoa. Stark look at Tsunade's possible life before returning to Konoha, but sadly very believable. You definitely get a sense with that woman that she's had some highs and some lows. I love this Jiraiya, making up for perceived failures and all of his should-haves with his writing; I think most writers can relate to that.
You HAD to have the clincher, didn't you? You're gonna make me well up! :D
Great job...man, every time I see and update from you in my inbox, hope swells a little bigger in my chest. Just having you around makes it more fun, for me. :)
| top chapter 1 . 2/12/2010
You know you have this habit of writing things that are very good, but leave me with little to say. There in the end though it was most powerful. When he compared the world to how it was and how it should be. There were two lines that stuck out. The first was the friend since childhood line. For a minute I thought you're referring to Naruto and Sasuke. It doesn't really describe them, but I'm not sure if it really describes them either. The second was whoring oneself out to pay gambling debts.
