Daaaaaaaaamn. Great stuff here. Kyon is so interesting and so intelligent, he could be a psycho, and this story explores it perfectly. The descriptions were great and the last note I thought was icing on the cake.
Fantastic work, can't wait for the next one.
| Mr Wang 330 chapter 8 . 7/16/2010
Jesus, man... you never cease to amaze.
Okay, in all seriousness, I wouldn't mind if Ryoko was able to find some sort of way out of this and kill him right on the spot. I always liked her, even if she was a little on the sadistic side, but for Kyon to go and to do all that...? Sure, he might have reasons, but it doesn't even seem real. Oddly enough, I actually would not have felt as bad had Kyon been shown to be talking to Haruhi or Itsuki... In any case, he's not the Kyon we know anymore, he's just some sadistic bastard who doesn't even seem any better than Ryoko. And naturally, you know I'll most likely stick with the sadist who's cute and able to still have charm while covered in someone else's blood. Pure, pure insanity right here man.
| MCK Agent of Moriya chapter 8 . 7/16/2010
Oh god... This was insane... I did keep picturing Itsuki being the victim but then...damn. Good job on this, mah boi.
| Brawndo the Thirst Mutilator chapter 8 . 7/16/2010
I honestly DID think that it was Haruhi or Itsuki he was talking to. Thanks for writing this, it was epic.
| The Layman chapter 7 . 7/13/2010
Props to Nukerjsr, he really did a good job.
Can't wait to see what comes next, I only hope it'll be as good as everything else...
| The Layman chapter 1 . 7/9/2010
Pleasent dreams, Kyon. I'll be right here waiting...
*shudders* Boy, that IS scary...
| MCK Agent of Moriya chapter 7 . 6/25/2010
And I finnaly get to reviewing this. Honestly, this scared me more than anything. Insane Koizumi is just plain epic, if not disturbing. This is my favorite one so far, and it is pure madness. I shall await moar, mah boi XD
| uzukun7 chapter 7 . 6/22/2010
what an amazing story. you can totally picture itsuki turning into a deranged hannibal lector type of person especially since a) his whole persona is based on him being fake and mysterious and b) his role in the brigade has become less and less important over time as haruhi pays a lot more attention to the other members of the brigade. i understand why you chose ryoko to be the one interviewing him, but to me the one that would have fit that role wouldve been mori. in either case i really enjoyed the fic and i hope you update soon. laterz

i LOVED it :D
| Brendan Rizzo chapter 7 . 6/18/2010
Wow. Though Ryoko didn't get a horrible end, this story was still terrifying for the simple reason that no one in the SOS Brigade suspected that they were about to be murdered until it was too late. You may have just made me a bit paranoid. You and Nukerjsr did a really good job on this. There were some spelling and grammar errors, but those were relatively few and far between.
| George Wolker chapter 7 . 6/17/2010
It's good, you and Nuker did a great job. Awaiting more updates.
| Greg Zerich chapter 7 . 6/17/2010
The Silence of the Espers. I have to say that you and Nuker really outdid yourselves this time.
I thoroughly enjoyed this entire story. Didn't see the Kyon thing coming, in fact, I thought that Kyon might have been the one to bring Itsuki to justice, but I guess that might have run against the core nature of this series a little too much. Although, I guess in a warped sense, Kyon was responsible for him getting caught.
I also feel really sorry for poor Ryoko. I mean, having drive is one thing, but now that Itsuki made that comparison, well, her life would never be the same either way.
Well done as always.
| Mr Wang 330 chapter 7 . 6/17/2010
Ever since the Ryoko chapter, "An Artist and Her Canvas," I was instilled with not fear, but awe and wonderment. I felt no longer afraid.
And then, I was absolutely terrified by this.
Itsuki's views warped into some sick loss of sanity and eventual extremist ways of perceiving the organization's examination of the SOS Brigade was... terrifying. Brutal. Petrifying. Experiencing nightmares with your eyes open.
Ryoko, in a way, still is like Itsuki at heart, and not because of what she did to Kyon. In keeping with the theme I used earlier, Ryoko is the starving artist, willing to do anything to achieve what she needs. Whether that promotion, or... Experiencing that variable change in the data of Haruhi Suzumiya. I'm actually afraid for the future of this rather innocent Ryoko.
What I hate about this is that you and Nukerjsr vividly describe every little bit that happens, while leaving enough room to fill in every bloody little blank. I... I was actually too terrified to read what that sadistic bastard was going to do to Mikuru. This is the only time I've ever been to scared to face what was going on. Once more, you keep Itsuki strangely in character, and while very very extreme and impossible to imagine, through his point of view, everything seems strangely justifiable in his own mind. I can't even tell at the end if Itsuki even regrets anything he ever did. I've read some things that eating... can be almost narcotic and insatiable... As I skipped the Mikuru scene, I noticed a few sentences here and there that almost made me puke. You and Nukerjsr did unimaginable work on this.
At first, I was in awe of the writing this compilation possessed. Ryoko, the artist, still being my favorite. But now, we've got this terrifying tale, of Itsuki... the connoisseur...
| Brawndo the Thirst Mutilator chapter 7 . 6/17/2010
Damn, this was a good one. Kudos, you two...
| Another Duck chapter 6 . 6/10/2010
I enjoyed the Ryoko chapters the most. She's definitely a fun and scary character. Her morality doesn't quite follow ours, but she does seem to have one. "She smiled," is a good ending, as it conveys so much behind the words, despite being such a common sentence. It's almost as powerful as when Nagato said, "Because I don't want to," in the seventh novel. For anyone but her, it wouldn't have been anything special, but for her it is.
I was as little disappointed that you didn't reverse her situation and wrote her worst fear as well. That could be interesting.
I alsod like the Wonderland chapter. There was just something serenely wrong with it.
