I liked this story up til the prison ball and its broken mechanics honestly it kinda made lose most of my interest in the sequel its one thing to have stroung enemies but it's another when you come up with over powered crap

maybe the questionable things that latios make to the trio poacher are the prelude to the fall of latios to the dark side (incarcerated latios)

Uh-huh, some days ago I favourited this story, just in case, 'cause I was kinda waiting for the rewrite and now, I gave up some hours of my sleep just to read this fanfiction. I can say, that I am impressed. First, I maybe not liked that a little bit of Latios' distrust and distance between Ash and him, but it was necessery, so I know. With time their grew close to each other, not immediately, which is good, but warmness was in the air. And Silver Conference... brilliant. Ending in Top 4 was really great choice, by the way. Ash isn't invicible, right, and he must have understand it. That bonds, developing between Ash, Latios and Latias were also really... realistic and good. This story is definitely a great one. I laughed while reading, I was smiling while reading, I was crying while reading, I was feeling this all. All the emotions, atmosphere, humor. There's nothing left to say from me. Huh cute. Lots of stuff happened here. Though I found it most interesting that Latias doesn't want to have a pokeball as well to prevent her from being captured in the future. Guess that will become a plot point during a team rocket theft or something with one of the many evil groups bent on world domination of some kind.

Great story, glad you got the editing done. I heard about this while the first few chapters were down for edits and had been eagerly looking forward to reading this. It has not disappointed.
I liked the encounter with Ho-Oh and her relationship with the Eon Duo. Watch out Ash, Mom likes you, but break her daughter's heart and there is nowhere you can hide.

I'm honestly not surprised that Snorlax won, those things may be Normal types, but they are utter TANKS, between sky high defense, health and attack, even a level 30 is a massive threat to the unprepared.

Also, Pikachu is a Badass. Nothing new there. Never bring a Gyarados to fight against an Electric type. Short of being able to OHKO the Electric with one attack before it can hit you, it will end poorly for the Gyarados.

Also, everything is better in the show than the games, prime example, the games, Luster Purge and Mist Ball are weaker than Psychic and Wrap sucks. Here? AMAZING.

The need to have latios stay over night for observation definitely fits with the harsh battle he just went through. Though I am sort of surprised that he didn't think that maybe he went to far in pushing latios, as much as he wants to take on the league, wouldn't he be far more concerned with what latios needs? *rereads a section* redact that, ash is worried about latios, I missed that. Sorry.

The obvious poke at ash's lack or direction skill, he does get better by sinnoh, he dosn't get lost on one way roads any more. And latias being able to shut pikachu and latios up with a glare, priceless

Phanphy seeing ash as his dad is just cute, so is the glomp poor ash, if he wasn't so tanky, he might actually get hurt From all the glomps from pokemon. Latias reaction to the phanpy was cute. I like how phanpy tackled pikachu playfully, it fits with a child, as do the descriptions about snorlax and bulbasaur.

The technicality of what counts as a ride, and what counts as simply saving someone from getting wet, also, despite riding latios, lugia was a better fligh, simply because he was amazing, is a nice touch.

Okay, I know what latios is saying is technicaly true, but ddn't ash tank latias flying as fast as she could earlier? Or am I still missing something (probably am)

and once again, there is ash caring for latios, he really dosn't want to hurt latios more than what happened at the gym. A nice touch as it fits ash that he would go the hard way if only to help latios.

Okay, I have to ask, is it because of his natural connection to aura, or fledgling psychic power that let ash sense the emotions of the egg?

I do have a few questions that aren't review.

First, I know this is altoshipping, when is ash going to realize that he has a dragoness after his heart, and when will latias make the balant move. (well more blatant that the kiss in the garden)

two, you've made Bianca an important character in new chance for adventure, I was wondering, is latios going to end up with her, if not then is there anyone planed for latios or bianca?

Three what will happen to may and ma as you have placed bianca in their spot?

Four the most important one, when if the next update to new chance for adventure? :P

I laughed at pikachu pointing out ash was mean for stringing oak along. And then laughed at ash's lack of direction skills coming into play again, with the fact he walked into a wall. Fillowed up by ash being glomped by one of the pokemon equvalent of a jet pane pikachu and latios's reactions, and Ash comenting that it was a painful greeting, all put together, got a laugh. The beginning of latias showing Ash she likes him aka startting to take the hammer to ash's denseness.

Pikachu's deadpan I don't think we could have beaten him, so it probably isn't a capture, wath the response from ash made me smile.

Chapter four

I couldn't help it, I awwed at the first thing phanpy does is just roll around like the young pokemon he was. And I flat out laughed at Prof. Oaks reaction, I honestly expected the professor to have a heart attack at the revelation that ash has caught a legendary pokemon. Prof. Elms reaction followed by the flat response was just entertaining.

Latias exploring the world, and dragging latios around brought a smile to my face, the fact she forgets (or dosen't care) that latios is begger than her and such is hitting things, made me smile more, poor latios, covered in miscellaneous debris while latias is squeaky clean. Just readding about how latias was analizing everything, and then finding out that while latias's muse was a forest and the landscape, latios's first time out had him marveling at a huge coral reaf.

The revelation that by your headcannon, silver and his mother are actualy brother and sister, as we don't know jack bout the legendary panthions breeding habits, I can actualy see it. And that both the young(i assume) lugia played with the twins, I just see cuteness and I hope you write that out sometime, just so the cuteness can be read. And ash wantting to tell his tailes, seeing them optimsticly, and pikachu being the realist (or sorts) with the near deaths was intersting, it's weird seeing pikachu as the realist.

Ah the prank and mistys fear of anything bug, I do wonder if she short cercit at a surket, or another water bug type.

I like how the pokemon laugh at bayleafs, ahem, affection to Ash, how he ever trained her with her, ahem, affectation is a mystery. And how, after a short time, the pokemon just go about their own things after meeting two new pokemon, even if they are legendary pokemon, (again, shows how much of a weirdness magnet ash is). Also like how ash is still getting used to the fact he can ask what attacks a pokemon knows, still defaulting to his pokedex.

Pikachu seems almost arrogant when it comes to facing latios and the luster purge, hes just seen what mist ball can do, and on top of that, has seen what the legendary pokemon can do as a whole, (lugia and celebi as two very large examples.) the fact he tries (and to my sruprise manages to) match luster purge with thunder, and catches the secondary part of the attack, just screams arogance, yes, I know pikachu should be able to back it up, and he has faced down a dragonite before (albeit one that had just ran through just about ash's whole team so was weakened) but still, I would think pikachu would er on the side of caughtion. Stll a nice display of power, and pikachu pointing out that latios is powerfull, just has no experience was a nice touch, funny how a pokemon that is only a few years old at most has more battle experience than one thats around a century old. And is confidant in a strait up fight, he'd win.

Ash going, how do train them “I don't have a clue on how to train dragons...or psychics...or legendaries. Never had any of them before. “ was a nice point, ash at this point, has no idea how to deal with any of those three things, other than how to fight them, and even then thats him playing on luck and improvisation. Continuity error here, and i'd like to see how you explain it, bu fairy type was introduced yet, it hadn't been “discovered” by this point in the series. Personaly, I think ash would be a little more worried that dragons are stronger than psychics and ghosts, given his, ahem, adentures with the two aformentioned types. I don't recal if, other than draes dragonite, he;s had any negative experience with dragon types before latios and latias. Also the leaf exercise, did oyu steal that from naruto?

I recall how they did it in the original version, but how did annie and oklay escape this time around? We only see the aftermath, is this intentional?

Chapter five

the immediate and simultaneous “hold it!” from brock and misty just so fit. As did ash being over enthusiastic about going to the gym. I also want to know about the trainers, if any, that they battled. I also sorta wana know about the weirder trianers nurse joy has seen. Brocks obsession with the nurses and officers in all it's glorry, hah. and the infamas “we hope to see you again soon.” prof. Oak acting like a kid amuses me to no end, as well as the fact that Ash continues to string him along.

Again, pikachu being the level headed of the two just seems strange to me, not a bad strange, but strange none the less, followed by a nice explanation of why not to pet a pikachus cheeks before a battle.

Brock getting restrained from proposing to the very atractive gym leader, snicker followed by the revelation that the gym was closing the very next day. I like how you fleshed claire out a little.

Now to the battle
in the defence of the kindgra that totodile defeated, totodile did use it's own power against it. Also, it's amusing just how many people in the anime don't seam to realise just how tanky a snorlax can be. And the fact that Ash's can swim is just an added bonus. Course ash did the right thing, just forgot he and claire were in the blast radious. Another good laugh with Brock trying not to stare too obviously at claire who was already in a form clinging body suit now dripping wet. Also, I can't help but laugh at the image of a kingdra panicing to try and avoid getting squished, and failing.

The garados vs snorlax battle was one sidded but I can believe that. Claire was smart in keeping away pikachu, and I like how she wasn't banking on ash bringing an acursed electric rat to the battle, glad to see ash paying attention to the fact that claire has basicly signed her on defeat. On this one, not really much more to say here.

Pikachu vs dragonair, okay this one was fun. Dragonair dodgeing everything beat pikachu like a drum for lack of a better expression, and just how far pikachu went to try and win, also, ash referenceing a battle from his past for a strategy, a good one too, little hard to disloge something from your head with out hurtting your self in the prosess. In the end, I like how it wasn't an attack from dragonair that finished pikachu, but pikachu dumping as much power into a thunder as he could to give latios the best chance at winning, now that is how a team player plays the game. Also, just how surpried Dragonair was at being hit with everything pikachu had left. Reminds me of the avengers vs x-men comic set, where iron man slams into cyclops (who is backed by the phenix force) and goes “how do you like this? it's called everything i've got left!” (may not be an exact quote.) was sort of hoping pikachu would say something similar to that.

I down right laughed at the whole, claire doing “we are so screwed to, he's young, what?” and latios doing, well there goes my hope.

As for the battle, it was epic, and shows how far latios need to go to not get into situations like this. And that a gym leager, who actualy knows the dragon type can do. I like how claire trys to get ash to surender, he really should have, but latios is very quickly gaining the same stuborness as ash and pikachu. That said, claire seems like she forgot the fact that a dragon type will fight until the end, given what her dragonair says, and insulting both ash and latios, dosen't seem in character at least from my point of veiw. And the end clash with luster purge vs hyper beam, I wonder if latios would have done what he did if pikachu hadn't done the same thing earlier with thunder. Also, claire does at least back her words up by surendering before latios can nuke dragonair again.

Question, as far as I know, dragonair hasn't seen before today, the eon pokemon how does she smell out latias and ID her so easily?

Okay, here is the reveiw i promised, i wrote it up as i read so there might be questions that i ask earlier that are answered in a later chapter than that part. now *snaps fingers and opens an interdenominational portal,* go read the reveiw, and i hope it's as detailed as needed. it starts with chapter one and ends with chapter six, just didn't feel like splitting them all up.

Chapter one
Love the detail, there is so much more now, even if I hadn't seen the movie(though that certainly helped) I can see whats going on, I winced in pain at the injuries on latios, they fit given what happened to the poor dragon. I like that it was latias that gave the suggestion about the healing with the help of someone else's soul. Was pikachu on Ash's shoulder when latias took ash? And how did ash survive at the speed they went? Ash is a tanky human, given everything he's endured up to this point, but that dosn't explain how he survived the speed to get back to Latios.

Loved how Ash has that moment of amazement/confusion that he can understand the Eon siblings, then realizes no, this is not the time for that, what's wrong. And that he, like in any cannon of the show, will choose to save someone even if he might die. The fact Latias got shoved from the connection was a surprise, but it fits somehow, that she shoves back in to see the aftermath.

If I remember in the original version, only latios developed telepathy from this incident, nice to see that ash doesn't have to be a translator for both of them. I flat out laughed at bayleaf choosing to carry ash and not the heavy legendaries, I forgot how obsessed with ash she was. The pulse of energy signaling the return of the water was also a nice touch, question, other than signaling the return of the soul dew and scaring Bianca, did it do anything? (to the garden Bianca, ect)

Also, biancas exasperation(at least thats how I see it) at the fact that put Ash on her bed thus she is sleeping on the couch with Brock and misty had me smile.

Chapter two

that the people only had some minor evidence of stuff happening(though how the DMA being in a deference position is a minor thin I don't know) is a nice touch, though, if my memory is correct in the move, at least one person sees the areodactal before it disperses into last being drawn back to it's fossil home. The addition of the nurse knowing about the dragons explains questions about how they were treated. Brock is good at what he does, but he isn't sinnoh good yet.

Latias being confused about the new power she's feeling is a nice touch and brings into focus just how young she is by the standards of the legendary pantheon. I laughed at pikachu scaring latais after she forms her mist ball and dissipates it. In my head it shows that he has run into so many legendaries at this point. (nine by my count as it's not confirmed at this point that pikachu remembers mewtwo and mew, and I don't rightly recall where the mewtwo returns movie takes place) that he isn't afraid to scare one at this point. The telepathy is a nice work around from what I recall in the original story that latias had to write everything down, hence why she wanted to be taught telepathy. It's also very cute how latias is having fun with her new powers, and is in essence showing off, once again proving her age. The affection latias is showing latios is a nice touch, though I can see how someone might have ideas how it could lead down a different path, I don't as I know it's them expressing themselves after both nearly loosing the other, but just a thought.

The note that the house had been remodeled to help the eons move was a nice touch, and the fact that latios still had trouble because of his size (can't help but think that he'd need a place with hallways big enough to spin a stretcher to be able to move comfortably.) and we also get to see latios's playful side when he wakes Bianca. I laughed as she lightly slapped him in the face then going from dead to hyper speed awake in less than a few seconds, also the fact she got revenge on him for waking her, even though it probably would have been worse had he waited. The connection Bianca has with the two dragons, shows it's self nicely here with the fact she had nightmares about i'll call it the cannon ending where latios died.

Ash and Pikachus conversation, I loved how it felt so natural for the two of them to talk with each other, that it takes them a moment to catch on, hey, something isn't right here. Also, the realism of the fact Ash probably hadn't moved at all during the five days he's been unconscious and the atrophy of his muscles and movement ability is a nice touch. And the fact that ash is a, to quote tv tropes, a weirdness magnet, that he suddenly wakes up with the ability to understand pokemon and can say such with a strait face says something about his life. The nod that Ash's eating skills trumph the cooking skills of a human and a legendary working together brought a chuckle from me. Also the comparison of sabrina, who has snapped with her power, compared to latias who is having fun, and has a supporting group of people to help was a nice touch.

Chapter three
Again latias being cute with the psychic powers is nice, and even latios, the logical and grounded of the two agreeing on the coolness/ease of their powers was cute. Latias's mental argument with herself about Ash was well done, the fact that she wants to leave with the hero she's crushing on,vs the fact she doesn't want to eave her brother was nice. The whole latios not trusting humans vs latias knowing they can trust Ash and friends added to this. The fact latias has yet to screw up a friendship compared to latios making several friends that betrayed them was a nice way to show latios wasn't perfect.

The fact latias pointed out that something about Ash feels special, even before he gained a part of latios's soul and that she knows latios can feel it. The whole argument overall I think was a little too mature on latias's side, she's the more child like of the two, while i'm not expecting. The typical five year old argument of I want to, that's all that matters, a little less maturity would have fit with how you've set latias as the child like one of the two, (again the aforementioned one up on latios was a nice touch and the following “an oddish?” from latios followed by “no duh” from latias just seemed to fit their dynamic)

I think it was a little ham-fisted with the father latios telling the two to go travel with ash, how does the father latios know ash is trust worthy? He, as the soul dew has been in ash's prescience what, a couple of hours at most? While you can get a good sence of character from that, how can you truly know that one human and his friends will be the best thing to happen to your children, how does he know that ash other than this one time, will risk everything to protect the two of them? The fact that the father latios has to explain what happened, with ash gaining a part of latios's soul makes sence, as latios wouldn't know what happened.

I take back what I said about remembering if mewtwo killed Ash, how does pikachu remember? If he is the only one how did mewtwo miss him, if the group remembers, again, how?

Ash noting that togepi speaks weirdly, but suggesting it's because she's a baby, and pikachu confirming this was a nice touch I know wasn't covered in the original. The way brock misty, and pikachu explain about the soul dew, and it was pikachu who felt the empathy for the father sealed away in the soul dew (again, that's how I see it) leads me to wonder if maybe pikachu knows what that feels like in a way. As far as we know, all the humans have both parents alive somewhere out there. (misty and Ash are the iffy ones, because besides delia we don't see them) the surprise that the siblings are really young and everyone pointing out the reason why they though that was interesting. And the description of what latios was feeling in the DMA I can see that is how he felt given I assume it was meant to work with the eon voluntarily giving their power, and not having it taken from them.

Out of all the reactions from everyone, I think Pikachus was the best, the way I interpreted it, was that every encounter with a legendary has resulted in ash nearly ending up dead, and now a pair (including one who tried to kill them, or at least hurt them) wants to come with Ash? Ash is going to die. The banter between ash and brock, I laughed, because I doubt ash couldn't take care of them but he definitely needs the help.

I can't believe i'm saying this, but I think latios was a little too lenient on latias crushing on Ash, there are several things that should bring up concern. First, the fact latias has only known ash for a short time, a really short time. Second, their species, I am firmly in the camp that pokeon and humans can breed with each other. (if memory serves, one of the movies says they used to get married in ancient times, I can't see that back then with out the ability to breed.) but many find in disgusting, and if Latias manages to get ash, that is a real concern, as latias and ash may (way the heck down the line) start induing in, ahem, more mature acts of showing their love for each other, he needs to think of that, problem three, their respective lifespans, I don't rightly recall how long the eon pokemon can live, though their name does suggest that they can live for an eon (though I can't find anything that references how long they can live maybe you have and I can get some enlightenment.) fourth, as the father figure/older brother, wouldn't he be trying to keep Latias from Ash? There is the wonderful stigma about father figures/older brother trying to keep males away from daughters/little sisters. If there is a reason he isn't where is it?
