| sd4ianto chapter 10 . 1/10/2013
But isn't that exactly what the Doctor did when he changed it in the first place by having Ianto moved to France? So he thinks he can do it when he wants to but no one else should be able to "fix" things. And thank you for not actually having Ianto die in the story, but he wasn't that old he was very young when he started working for Torchwood. He was only like 23 or 24 so even say 25 years later he wouldn't even be in his fifties and you were killing him off.
But it was a beautiful story start to finish.(All six).
| Meridas chapter 10 . 8/13/2012
Another really, really great story. I loved this whole piece, from the fantastic characters to the way you wrote it. As always, I loved the edgings of bittersweet and humor to a solid, interesting plot. Naturally I have to repeat myself, because your characters are amazing, I absolutely love the new and old ones. Tony and Isabelle might be my favorites. I hope you continue to write TW - in the meantime I'll keep coming back to these older stories and won't regret it at all. Fantastic. :)

I don't think I've ever laughed so hard and so quietly at two in the morning before.

Wow...what a story. Had me crying and laughing and screaming throughout. Beautiful story for a rainy and cold day. Loved it absolutely!
| Lady Emma Wentworth chapter 10 . 3/30/2011
Damn it all to bloody hell! How I wish to heaven that I'd never, ever, read this final chapter. Now my heart is just shattered and it's taken me about two hours to calm down enough to write this.
Chapter One was a tad confusing, and I almost didn't go on, but that little voice in the back of my head said, 'no it's a good read.' And it is.
It' a wonderful read. Absolutely brilliant. The intricacies, the inter-woven stories and lives - I'm amazed. Truly in awe. The imagination that went into putting Chapters One-Nine together just boggles my mind! You created characters that are so real, so human, so well-rounded and 'life-like', it's as if I really knew them all.
Then you had to destroy everything like some vengeful God when you wrote Chapter Ten. One sweep of your pen and all the good, all the love, all the happiness, all the future, is gone. You destroyed everything you created.
Why would you do that? Why couldn't you just leave well enough alone? Why did you have to become the Doctor, and swan in to make sure that everyone - and by everyone, I do mean Jack specifically - is as bloody effing miserable as he is? Crap, now I'm crying again, I'm getting a headache from it, and I have no tissues left.
| Kodiak chapter 10 . 3/31/2010
Very nice, thank you for sharing it
| Senket chapter 10 . 3/2/2010
'I liked this.'
No, but seriously. Quite well done indeed. I don't have the skill or imagination to develop that sort of plot, methinks.
Kyle is adorable. And of course Ianto, and Jack, and Lisa, and the all-around characterization, and sucking in of the odd character here and there. Astounding

This is the first time I've been organised enough to review, but I so enjoyed this story that I wanted to say thank you for the pleasure it gave me. The time frame you covered so skillfully and the ending, while sad, was fitting and gave dignity to your central triad. A great read.
| marajade963 chapter 10 . 3/1/2010
'bloody wonderful story' doesn't quite do it justice!
Loved the interweaving of the characters and the back and forth of the story arc. Loved the ending. Sad yet, for some reason so very fitting.
Would have loved to see a glimpse of Jackie's letters to her son!
| Pooky1234 chapter 10 . 3/1/2010
I enjoyed reading this. it was different enough to get my attention and keep it. I read all the other stuff over the weekend as well.
| ForestSprite chapter 10 . 3/1/2010
Lovely. Gorgeous. Heart-breaking. Emotional. This story is so many things and the thing that made it work so well is that you write so well. May you continue to write for years and years to come.
| Elise Foster chapter 10 . 3/1/2010
Just waiting for the story to finish before I reviewed. This was perfect and lovely. I loved the jump from character to character, the story told in pieces... not to mention the little side-bar mini-chapters included in every part. Don't make us wait too long for the next one.
| Stress-Junkie chapter 8 . 2/27/2010
I wasn't quite sure what to think of this initially, because I'm not normally interested in stories featuring characters children. Somehow you managed to pull it all togehter, though, and I'm absolutely loving it. You've got me on the edge of my seat waiting for more.
