| Pandora's Crate chapter 1 . 2/25/2010
Funny way to end the series, if a little sad. And let's face it, Naruto seems to be nearing its end, unless Kishimoto goes Dragonball-esque and tosses in another arc from nowhere.
| ABitterPill chapter 1 . 2/25/2010
I guess I should not be surprised you used Hinata as "his one true love". You are... "enthusiastically fond" of that pairing...
| the grey mage chapter 1 . 2/25/2010
another story that was set up for time travel adventures... this would be it. almost like old man logan, from x-men. regrets and dreams. awesome.
| Aikuchi Shikaku chapter 1 . 2/25/2010
Very well done, although a one-shot it really brings out the unadulterated truth between two completely different people.
Sasuke as an avenger that is clearly driven by revenge is a classic example of a person who has crossed the moral event horizon so many times that I doubt that his soul is even redeemable anymore, especially after what he did to Karin, mortally wounding her and discarding her after the fact that he determined he was useless now to his ambition.
Naruto is the classic example of a hero who has endured pain and suffering yet never gave in to his base impulses, and in the end of this story is a fulfilled and bright individual, even if the shadow of Kyuubi at first was looming over him. He never gave up and has exceeded even his own expectations. He got to marry Hinata, had a good life with her and promoted general peace.
What I do like with this story is that it is still implied that Naruto had never given up on his best friend. I don't know where Sasuke's soul is headed, but I think he had always craved Naruto's recognition and acknowledgement. I hope that it will bring closure to his troubled soul.
Really liked this one-shot, and who knows, maybe when you pick up the bleach fandom, it could be a start of a Naruto x Bleach crossover story.
