| T'Kerstin chapter 5 . 6/22/2014
The episode you mentioned above is called "Bread and Circuses", not "Bread and Roses"
| xXFrostKittenXx chapter 29 . 9/26/2013
This was just so much fun to read! You're so evil, though, pulling me away from a teacher's lecture...I'm lucky I didn't burst out laughing in the middle of it.
But seriously, this was great. You have a gift! And now I'm off to read the one that came before this...Favorite chapter of this one? I believe it was 8 that gave the blow-by-blow of the mission where the nitrogen dust broke Spock's shields. Two thumbs up!
| Jacil chapter 29 . 5/27/2013
This an amazing story! O my gosh I'm so jumpy here and saying 'this a wonderful story' over and over again. Gosh I like how you wrote this story it's really, really good! Gah enough of this. I just wanted to tell that you are an amazing author who made this story, and keep up the good, ok? Got me. Well have a nice day!

| sub0chick chapter 29 . 2/1/2013
lol very cool story. great job with all the action scenes (i never feel like i do those well lol) and still keeping htings light and humorous while still getting across the seriousness of the various situations as well. and i loved the slow growing realtionship between spock and kirk (and spock's illogical jealousy of prime-even if he won't admit to it lol). and you did such a great job weaving together all the various little plots into the one big major cover-up that was going on. wonderful work :D
| sub0chick chapter 19 . 2/1/2013
"so we're telling the truth?" lmfao and cuddle times for kirk and spock very aww
| sub0chick chapter 18 . 2/1/2013
just a small thing, everytime i read "carcass" in regards to the person's body, i wince. while technically correct, most people call dead people corpses or possibly at the most cadavers (though usually i've only heard/seen that to be the case in medical usage), carcass is usually used for animal remains
| sub0chick chapter 2 . 2/1/2013
just a small thing, about the time you started typing the vulcan journalist's take on things, you started getting a lot of spelling errors, mostly minor things (like Pick instead of Pike) but some of them make it a little difficult to read in spots
| Jan7 chapter 14 . 12/22/2012
I don't think I've ever read such an off character Spock before. Hell, half the crew is way off character. The most of them are so unprofessional it's wonder any of them has a job. I can't fathom the reasoning for the character butchering and wonder how good this story may have actually been if you hadn't gutted the characters so badly.
| Nichalia chapter 29 . 10/13/2012
You had their relationship develop in so many quiet moments. I don't think I've ever read a ST fic that handled it quite like yours did. :-)
| IceQueenRex chapter 29 . 5/15/2012
This is possibly one of the best Star Trek fics I've ever read. It was lengthy, gripping and easy to just sink my teeth into and enjoy the ride. I love how you managed to transform something deceptively easy to remedy, like a communications breakdown into something so intense and political. And the fact that you managed to work with this for a good 29 chapters just shows how great of a writer you are. I was thoroughly engaged in this story and I'm always glad to find treasures like these because they're a huge contribution to the fanfiction community. :) Awesome job!
| Azure Gryphon chapter 29 . 2/17/2012
This story is amazing! I love it.
| Khashana chapter 29 . 2/17/2012
This is awesome! So much romance has no decent plot. You may have lost me somewhere on the Councilpeople and the Admiralty, but I think I'll be all right if I read/watch/listen to a little more canon first, and maybe take notes. You have some wonderful sentences that make me laugh and go, I wish that was my sentence! Which, I guess, is something only a writer would understand. Also, I love your K/S. Slow building, but with both of them perfectly aware what's happening, none of this awkward "He can never feel the same way" or "I thought you were with Uhura" stuff that crops up in so many other K/S stories.
| Miss Meh chapter 29 . 7/4/2011
Wow. This was great. I really enjoyed all of the fluff and Spock's blushes were especially adorable. You really kept them busy though. Poor Jim seemed to really get the short end of the stick almost constantly. I'm exceedingly glad that it all worked out in the end. :D
| Product Of A Sick Society chapter 29 . 4/10/2011
So I pretty much just power read through all of this in one night. D: (lol, yeah, finally got my lazy butt in gear and decided to finished it. Even if you are planning to rewrite it).
One of the things I love, love, love about this is that you didn't let the bits of romance take over the storyline. So many fanfics start with a great story, then dissolve into teen drama and/or smut. So that made me really happpeh. :D I know some people were still iffy on the OCs you included, but honestly, I tend to love them to death (I dunno why, but the Junior Councilman guy made me smile). They're usually well rounded characters that I can see being included in the actual show, you know?
And, as usual, I love the politics behind this (loool, me? love politics? Fffff- never). Was totally not seeing the revolution coming (but maybe I'm just dense), so that was a very interesting twist. Kinda wondering if they'll try to strong-arm Kirk into becoming an Admiral. Maybe a field Admiral (you know... like a captain, but with more rank)? Do those exist? o.O; If they do, I'm probably using the wrong name for it. XD
And yeah... I SRSLY CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S OVER! Maybe that's why I've put off reading it for so long... :P You need a third arch for this story. 8D Where Enterprise is given the insane task of negotiating formal treaties with the Klingons (lol), or they actually go and meet with the Cardassian Emmissary guy, and then sh!t goes REALLY WRONG... or some such. I dunno, I'm not the creative one here. XD I see why you ended it where you did, but at the same time there's just so much you could play around with in a AU like this.
Btw, I totally saw a news article about the new Star Trek movie they're making. :D It was very short, though. :( And I should end this review before it turn into... well before it turns into a LONGER essay. D:
