The ending doesn't fit. Bella said Marcus wasn't bad and he even said he himself wasn't an ogre and this reveal about their sex life makes him sound emotionally abusive. It's as if you wrote this chapter with no remembrance of the previous story weaving.

Perfect ending.

Edward has been handling this entire situation w/ such grace- i'm so proud of him.
Bella is a good woman. & beautiful.
I hate people's shallowness & ignorance in calling her plain.
Simon is very cool.

I always feel a bit hesistant about big age differences, no matter who is older. It just invites trouble, because often, people are at very different stages in their life, wanting different things in the long term, and such. It is also hard to have equality in a relationship when there is so much disparity.

It is silly though, if people are fine with old man-young girl but not the reverse. I mean even if an old man still fathers a child, it does not necessarily mean that he lives to see it grow up, right?

Anyway, I like that you didn't bulldoze straight through the complexity of the matter, but handled it carefully.
