Poor Hermione, she thought he was still in love with Lily. All that suffering because of a misunderstanding...Well, in the end Severus realized and rectified the situation :D Now they'll be together...Forever :) Thank you!

And I hope we will be friends… forever."
-Yes, well, he's heard _those_ words before, hasn't he? No wonder he still doubts her real motives.
But I'm glad they finally speak clearly to each other, and then move on to the kissing bits. (grin)

Yes, I can see Hermione being sucked in by all those books; but I expect all of Snape's property, vaults, etc. has already been stolen by the Ministry-I'm just surprised that Spinners' End has anything left.
| JaneA0202 chapter 2 . 8/18/2010
very nice story, but somehow I still felt that something was missing, didnt feel their love very much...it could have some more scenes with them as a couple.

| Lisianpeia chapter 2 . 4/5/2010
Lovely, as always. I loved how their relationship evolved into something bigger by each and every meeting.
*"You know, you can use my name now… Hermione."
"Thank you… Severus," she answered slowly, too surprised and entranced to say more.
Then the moment passed, and the book exacted their full attention, to their great relief.*
I love when writers emphasize the use of given names (I do that myself). I just feel this is a big step for both of them )
Thank you for sharing, it was a plesure to read!

| Lady Memory chapter 2 . 3/25/2010
"I've missed our talks."
"I'd be a liar to say that I haven't."
I’d be a liar to say that I haven’t greatly enjoyed this story ;)
Perhaps I am an incurable romantic, but these two short lines condense for me the meaning of the whole novel. The feeling that I perceive, and that links every sequence to the other, is Snape’s intense nostalgia – though he doesn’t completely realise it till the end – for an existence he never experienced before. Something that may finally replenish a life that has been totally annihilated in sacrifice.
Reading with this in mind, every little step that he and Hermione take becomes more and more a bridge to that unknown happiness. They both think, for different reasons, to not be entitled to such joyful future. This is why I have liked so much their many little misunderstandings and quarrels, their coming and going, their mutual offering and retreating; while, unknown to them, love is silently finding its way in their hearts.
As I wrote in my first review, this is a story full of hope. This hope definitely turns into shining reality when Harry adds his help to rebuild Snape’s credibility – their meeting is one of the scenes I have enjoyed most.
Even Rita Skeeter gives her contribution to Snape’s new life!
...Though, cunning as she’s always been, this is an extraordinary pretext for her to refresh her “literary glory” ;)
Thank you for sharing this nice little story. I hope you will write more for the joy of your readers (and of your previewers) ;)

| duj chapter 2 . 3/16/2010
A satisfying happy ending, with Snape taking an active role in his own healing :))
(Interestingly, Hermione must be remembering the train trip wrong; she didn't cast *any* spells in front of Ron or Harry at their first meeting. Searching through the books, I couldn't find her *ever* mending Harry's glasses, although she did cast Impervious on them during a particularly rainy Quidditch match in PoA and she did cast Reparo on the broken glass of a train compartment in GoF. And yet, I had been just as convinced as anyone that she had done so. Perhaps it was in the movies?)

A great epilogue, funny and sweet.
I think Harry is the true gem of this story.
Thanks to him, like a catalyst in a potion, scenes takes life, things happens and characters acts at the best of their well-known disposition.
Harry’s enthusiasm is contagious because it instils a sense of peace and freedom so when Snape and Hermione meet again we really believe that’s possible to start afresh.
Thank you very much for having shared with us your brilliant story.
| Fizzabella chapter 2 . 3/15/2010
This was very lovely. I really enjoy your portrayal of Severus Snape as a man at peace, and open to finding happiness.
| diamond-helen chapter 2 . 3/15/2010
Lovely story, i enjoyed reading it. I like the characterization of them both. Nice job.
| Lady Memory chapter 1 . 3/11/2010
I have found this story enchanting in its aimplicity and in its rhythm.
Everything starts from a book: this time, Rita Skeeter has the unwanted merit to help Hermione find a pretext to see Snape again. Would the girl have come again to meet him, otherwise?
Probably yes, but this is the perfect reason for a young woman who is still trying to undestand her feelings.
And from this first book we arrive to an entire collection. Something precious that refresh Hermione's penchant for risk, and that allows Snape to understand that he is no more alone. Even better, that there is somebody who really cares for him, and cares so much as to undergo danger and pain just for the joy to give joy.
I love the way the relationship between Snape and Hermione develop. Slowly but steadily, in spite of their many - understandable - mistakes.
This is a chapter full of hope. It will be wonderful to see their feelings develop into love.
