I think that you are acurately portraying 8 year old boys, and that Sasuke's reactions make sense. I enjoyed how Sasuke went out of his way to defend Naruto.

I think you are doing a pretty good job of portraying two 8yo's there not speaking oddly, a definate plus, besides Sasuke's just seen his family been cut to pieces and Naruto's been hated since he was born, there not like regular 8yos.

Sasuke reactions do make sense, Sasuke never met or saw Naruto before and so his mind clinging onto him as he had absolutley no ties with his past is, I think, normal, or at least it could happen.

Things are developing at a good pace, it wouldnt be hard exactly to see that Naruto isnt treated like everyone else and to be honest you'd have to blind not to notice it. Sasuke didnt until now because he didnt know Naruto and so didnt have a reason to see him. It might be a little slow, but really its because of how short the chapters are, if you tried to speed things up then the chapters would have more, but would probably be less... I dunno descriptive, explainitory, I mean I dont want a major timeskip and walla Naruto and Sasu are best of friends, no no no, that would be stupid.

What I would like to see is more regular updates, I understand you are probably busy and have other things to do than write fanfiction but still I would like to see more of this fic.

Nothing really stuck out as odd and out of place, though I would like to know why Naruto left Shika Chouji and Hinata out of his prank, will you include other friendships that clash with Naru and Sasus, like Sasu getting jealous because NArutos hanging out with someone else, will one of them learn how to cook? all are incredibly important questions.

Anyway thank you again for another great chapter of this fic, I'm so happy (jumps up and down randomly appearing dog tail wagging).

This is a great story line, especially for a first one! I love how you've got Naruto's characterization dead on-yes, he really is that damn cheerful, period-even when he shouldn't be. Also, I think you've done an excellent job with Sasuke as well. I really hope you decide to continue this story, as I really do think it is an excellent fanfic with a lot of potential. The things I'm most interested in so far are: How will Sasuke react when he notices how the villagers treat Naruto, and will Itachi be a major character, keeping the manga revelations about him in mind? Thanks for sharing your story! :)

Your writing is excellent. Your word usage is spot on, and all the punctuation, as far as Icould tell, was as deadly accurate as your Sasuke's aim. You have the characters nailed, and I think I was cracking up every few lines. ...Except the ones where I was extremely melancholy.

When the chapter began I was thinking “No! How could Naruto give up the room without a fight?” And then the traps happened. And my life was complete~

Also, Naruto’s logic about Ninja training and interaction with ANBU was hilarious and TRUE! Ha! By the same token, Saskue’s confused analysis of Naruto’s fighting style was neat and I can’t wait to see more on it.

The way Naruto then broods in his room, about how he would like Sasuke to be his friend, and then that would be enough, is very, very endearing. Also, the ending itself, and how Naruo wakes him up and even leaves the door open just a crack, is fantastic.

I know this isn’t exactly 10 comments yet – 8 I believe? – but still, please continue this story! It has a well crafted plot and is funny and well written and please~

I look forward to the next installment.

I loved how you described Naruto’s mood swings as “whip-lash inducing.” That, and how his constant cheery nature made one forget how he was still just a little kid, and not unbreakable.

I LOVE this chapter! And I love how the support starts up from the Nara clan, and then how the other rookie 9 parents add their own, in character, sentiments of approval. It's fantastic to see the disaster being plunged before it can fester into the horror that is Cannon Sasuke. Though Danzo does worry me more than a little.
