So Ive read this story a couple time bc its my favorite story of obi-wan and anakin. but this chapter is my favoriteit just so well written, the emotional toll and the relationship. The way you have them act since Obi-Wan cant say the words and his acknowledgement of the cost but he cant let Anakin die. the turmoil- save one person you love or 5 strangers. And then Dooku wondering if broke something he shouldnt have. i think this is the best chapter. although the one where anakin confronts Obi-wan about the darkness is equally good but this chapter still tops it. great fic

Oh, wow. This whole story was absolutely beautiful! Great job, and totally going in my favorites list! I love how you took a relatively simple “what if” and managed to turn it into an entire fix-it, while still leaving all the characters completely in-character! Dooku made a fascinating main villain, Anakin was everything we always loved about him - good and bad!, Obi-Wan and Padme were just amazing! And LUKE at the end there! Oh, Luke! “Anakin! You can’t let you children go rooting through people’s minds!” Lol! Oh, it’s gonna be so much fun raising the twins! And I’m just talking in circles about how much I loved this, so I’d better end it here. Thank you again for a great ride!

To be frank, I'm quite surprised Qui-Gon hasn't tried to haunt his wayward master by now. Not that he did in the canon universe, but that would've been quite a meme.

If Dooku is willing to use this kind of force on Obi-Wan, I wonder at the fact that he hasn't on Anakin before. Goodness knows the kid tried his patience enough for that.

So the dark side is gripping Anakin a bit too, I see. At first I thought his reasoning was a bit... trite when it came to why Obi-Wan shouldn't be as guilty as he feels, but that was the dark side, wasn't it?

This heart to heart cut straight to the soul. It sucks that it came to light in such a way, but one way or another, it needed to come out into the open. Now Anakin can maybe start to heal from that.
