Oh man, thank you SO MUCH for writing this, it’s amazing. The twisted relationship between Dooku and Obi-Wan was so interesting.

i really enjoy the parent aspect thing you have going on in this story. because of your plot, obi-wan basically had to admit to himself how much he really does care for anakin, which unfortunately is a whole lot and great for leverage. i think it's interesting that you've given both basically little breakdowns, but that anakin's have been seemingly very healing. since he's not dooku's focus he's able to have that happen which is nice to see for his character...but poor obi-wan learns he's too attached, which is bad in his opinion already, and just goes down from there. interesting to read because he's such a strong character and the emotions behind his breakdown piece by piece are sad but sort of nice since he's doing it for anakin. i've also enjoyed that while they're both technically against dooku, they ARE still collaborators in a sense, if unwilling, and both have proven to break a bit for the other and do things they didn't believe they could. not exactly how you imagine heroes saving the day, but compelling in their humanity:)
jayley chapter 17 . 1/29/2018
wow! what's crazy is that dooku is RIGHT! he DID end up doing ob-wan a favor but getting rid of palpatine and forming the empire months sooner. that's a weird outlook but by saving his own life, he saved anakin as well
Ayliane chapter 35 . 1/11/2018
This chapter and Anakin's thoughts about how he feels the force is one of the reasons why I can't relate or like Anakin. Because son much of what he is, aka thé most powerful force user ever known is also completly detached from him. I'm not sure I'm making any sense but I feel that much of Anakin accomplishment has nothing to do with him. He is not responsible for historique power, not like Obi Wan who tries to compensate this lack with cunning or wit. Anakin has never learned this because he never had to really trie. On these other hand, his flaws are all his, so maybe that's why I really have a hard time liking him. And no matter how well you write him (and it is nice to see what he can accomplish when he is to become the jedi he could always be), he still doesn't compare with Obi Wan. The fic is still as great as before and such a pleasure to read.
Ayliane chapter 17 . 1/11/2018
Your Dooku in this story is absolutly fascinating, a masterpiece. I am so glad that you chose to explore the tidbits of information we were given in the only scene where Dooku and Obi-Wan were alone together in AOC. As you said, he is often overlooked, but such a cold and sophisticated villain is, I find, so much more interresting than Sidious (who in my opinion is just a creep). Morever, in contrast to Sidious, Dooku was once a Jedi, so it adds another layer to him (why would he kill the younglings?).

As for Anakin, it is the very first time that I find his character somewhat compelling and sympathetic. It has never happened before (except in case of OOCness), so thank you. I do wonder though, had you only watch the films, would your opinion still be the same (i.e. he is fundamentally good, but was warped), because I really failed to see any redeeming qualities in him in the movies (can't say for the Clones War, I haven't seen the show)

Obi-Wan is as always hands down my favourite character of all. His snark, his intelligence and cunning, his compassion, his love for Anakin make him a truly great man and it is always a pleasure to read about him bantering with Anakin or trading verbal blows with Dooku. I love your depiction of Obi-Wan, how you seemed to have captured him perfectly.

Padme is a plus, and I love how you portray her, as a strong independant woman.

This fic a gem so very well written it is a pleasure to read.

I first read your work years ago, and it remains some of my absolute favorite SW fan fiction. This one (and Fire and Ice - it’s so hard to pick!) is my favorite. Every few years I get in a big Star Wars mood, and I always return to read your fics. This story is incredible. The amount of work you put into it and the love you have for the characters is so apparent. In a way, this is HEARTBREAKING to read because it SO easily could’ve gone this way. If one thing had been different...you really showed how precariously balanced Anakin was, and how he could have tipped one way or the other. It’s so painful to read this knowing how the movies went down, because this feels SO real and SO right.

I love the way you write Anakin and Obi-Wan. Their relationship is my favorite and you illustrate it perfectly- the affection and the bond and the struggles they go through. (ALSO, ALL OF THE PLATONIC BED SHARING GIVES ME SO MUCH LIFE HOLY SHIT). Your Padme is also incredible, you’ve really done her justice.

Thank you so so much for writing, like I said I revisit your stuff every few years. I hope wherever you are in life you’re doing well, and I hope you still write.
Naramyon chapter 1 . 12/20/2017
O.O
Love Dooku's plan for Sidious. Couldn't have happened to a more deserving guy.

That Dooku chose to kill the Jedi... I'm more than surprised. I suppose I don't know this incarnation of Dooku to understand his motives.
