Guest chapter 44 . 11/16/2015 Loved the way they made the best of things, stood up and took responsibility for their lives. Thank you for writing. |
ChristyWIX chapter 44 . 6/27/2015 I've never done this before but, I just jumped to the very last chapter to see what happens. You mentioned in that shatter that there would be angst, I can't do angst, I'm a wimp. Sounds like it got really bad and just barley got better by the end. Sounds like BxE are still together but, not blissfully. I'm glad I jumped to the end. Yikes! |
ChristyWIX chapter 17 . 6/27/2015 She just now realized that he was sticking around for her and the baby. Why didn't she realize that when they faced their parents at dinner that night? That was when she should've know. Actually, he's been telling her all along he wasn't going anywhere, that he was not going to run. When he never gave a reason for her to doubt it. Although he is providing a paycheck for her and a place to live. She won't have him around, she'll be alone with the baby. Alone. This is listed as humor/romance and it's really drama/romance. It's rather sad that he's leaving all of them. They are going to be worried about him. Carlisle is on board. Esme, definitely not. Bella sure doesn't seem to be on board, just doing what he wants. |
ChristyWIX chapter 16 . 6/27/2015 Hey honey, I have this great idea, I'm going to enlist so you can be a single mom to our child. Oh but hey, you get a steady paycheck and a place to live. Meanwhile, I won't ever be home to be with our child so, feel free to stay overwhelmed and alone on base. Or, still alone but not so much overwhelmed, with our family. What's the point of even staying together? Just for Baby C? Yes, men and women do this all the time. Again, a very noble profession. I just don't get it for these two and it seems extremely drastic. They have options and he didn't even really give her a voice. He asked her but, the whole time his thinking, I will persuade her, she will say yes. |
ChristyWIX chapter 15 . 6/27/2015 This will separate them for months on end throughout his career. I'm sure the recruitment officer didn't bother to give him that tidbit of news. Actually, I know for a fact they leave all of that out. My brother in law was a recruitment officer and they are big time bait and switch operators. He's, in his own words, suckered, many a troop in this way. Edward decides, on a whim whilst window shopping, that he still gets his dream of eventually getting into the FBI by joining the service . . . yet doesn't once think about leaving Bella and the baby behind? That BIL I mentioned, now runs basic training for all the fresh recruits. They don't get to see their families for months after joining. Even if married, they aren't allowed to be near the basic training facilities. They are the very first steps on the totem pole of our service branches and are giving no privileges . . . not until they complete. And, often when they do complete, they are I,media tell shipped off. How does he actually think he's going to be around for Bella? What about what she wants to do in life? Did he think she wants to give up college? WTH? |
ChristyWIX chapter 14 . 6/27/2015 Okay now, with that FBI part, I know he's joining the service. He'd better speak to Bella before he joins or, he'll be lucky she ever speaks to him again. As I'd be livid with my boyfriend, father of my baby bump, to do something that large without discussing it with me first. And, then to find out he talked to my dad first, not me. Yes, more pissed. |
ChristyWIX chapter 13 . 6/27/2015 Hey, they finally got their groove back. The way Edward was talking to his dad has me very nervous. Please tell me he's not enlisting in the service. It's a very noble profession but, he'd be taken away from Bella, not be with her. He would be at basic training while she was home giving birth alone. I hope I just have an overactive imagination. |
ChristyWIX chapter 12 . 6/27/2015 Well, that explained Carlisle being so closed off. He's processing. Wonder why Esme didn't just say that to Edward? Instead of confusing him more. It was nice to know that he has sympathy for ExB . . . not anger, which is what he seemed to be exhibiting to the outside world. |
ChristyWIX chapter 11 . 6/27/2015 Oh how cruel the children can be. Lauren coming on to Edward at that moment was desperately pathetic, by the way. Disgusting. Mrs. DiGorgio is a nice item to have on their side. She's been wonderful so far. |
ChristyWIX chapter 10 . 6/26/2015 Ha! Take that Renee! Backfired. This made your daughter have an epiphany and she just realized that this bump in the road may just be that. Albeit one that you will have for the rest of your life. However, you've got to persevere and these two, I believe, will do so. I think Bella just realized she can still finish not only high school but, college too. |
ChristyWIX chapter 9 . 6/26/2015 Charlie was really kind of wonderful in this chapter. He didn't yell or scream and I really expected him to. I'm glad you wrote it this way. Him simply letting Edward know 'they' screwed up, not just 'him'. Letting him know that this will be hard for them. Very surprising but, I really liked it. |
ChristyWIX chapter 8 . 6/26/2015 Well, that did not go as epically badly as I'd expected. Just mildly so. Not sure if Edward following Charlie is the best idea but, glad he is doing so. Renee was very dramatic as they did think she would be. Carlisle was kind of the shocker here. Not sure what I'd expected from him, just not that. |
ChristyWIX chapter 7 . 6/26/2015 Yeppers, they are both dealing with itch so much in their heads right now. It's good though, to see that they seem to be staying true to themselves. Horny Edward is funny. Loved the talk of marriage . . . eventually. |
ChristyWIX chapter 6 . 6/26/2015 Interesting to learn that he and Rosalie were both adopted and it never occurred to him as an option. They had already decided to keep the baby, so moot point really. Love that Bella keeps referring to it as and after school special. I remember those. I guess that's what Lifetime is for now, right? hehehe |
ChristyWIX chapter 5 . 6/26/2015 So, you being the mom that had her son approach with this very scenario . . . did you stay as calm as Esme did here. That was rather remarkable, her strength in that moment. |
