Siriusmunchkin chapter 39 . 1/3/2021 Seeing the name Eric Matthews threw me for a minute. Though he in no way resembles Lurch nor was he an MP, I have a great nephew named Eric Matthews who was in the Army a number of years ago and served in Iraq. |

i.luv.twilight2 chapter 38 . 8/20/2019 My son's friend had to do 10 push ups for every piece of mail received which doesn't sound too bad until the day 10 pieces arrived at once. I started writing my son in the Navy the day he left for basic. I wrote at least once a day and some days I found stupid cartoons and printed those out to send. Once we were notified of his address I would send several a day to "make it rain" during mail call. When I discovered they are not allowed to high five in basic (no personal contact), I found a cartoon image of a high five a little note thanking them for their service and mailed enough for every person in his unit to re dive one. The others loved it but my son was embarrassed. Great chapter! |
i.luv.twilight2 chapter 37 . 8/20/2019 The first few weeks of basic training are tough on the result and the family. My heart aches for Bella. |
i.luv.twilight2 chapter 36 . 8/20/2019 I have extended family who reside in the tiny towns surrounding Ft. Leonard Wood and your description is spot on. Crocker, Rolla, and Iberia (or Si-beria as we call it). Great story! |
Atwiggs chapter 20 . 11/23/2018 I was married when I was seventeen. My husband ended up in Viet Nam. It was a hard time... I lived at home with my parents while he was over there, and saved my salary and wife’s benefits. It was a hard time but we made it through. I lost my husband Jan 31, 2017 and I miss him so much... |
Atwiggs chapter 15 . 11/22/2018 The Army? Well he can do College for free in the Army, right? |
Atwiggs chapter 10 . 11/19/2018 I’m so glad they have support from the Principal... You are an amazing writer, you have me laughing all the way through... I lost my husband in 2017 and I don’t laugh a lot but get me laughing all day! Thx for that sweetie! |
Atwiggs chapter 7 . 11/18/2018 Poor Bella, she’s really getting to “the good stuff” now (call in the sarcasm)... |
