| Anon42 chapter 24 . 3/4
So, the replicators aren't just endlessly replicating, technology upgrading energy weapon-immune lego blocks of doom now, they're all that plus acid spitting and techno-zombification.
If they weren't horrible before, they sure as hell are now...
I congratulate you! You managed to turn the replicators from annoying Space Magic lego into demonic Borg robot insect things. I can't say I've seen that before.
Good story so far. I enjoyed reading it.

I read everything in a few days, and I was completely taken in. Lots of beautiful parts.
Cain threatening to let everyone die, just to get the gate.
The battle for Delmak between the Colonials and Sokar, and the crash of the Ha'tak were a fitting end for Sokar, far more than just Netu exploding.
Marteen remembering his first unwilling host, and how he killed him like a Goa'uld.
Jack killing Kali.
The Replicators invading the Galactica.
The Tok'ra plan of making the System Lords go to Hasara, and kill them all at once, also.
Plus the characterization of the Cylons, Jack, Amorak, Starbuck and the Commander Adama in particular (not that the others are bad).
And the politics between Tau'ri and Colonials.
And the Tok'ra are right, frankly : the Tau'ri ARE arrogant and over-confident. And they SHOULD have consulted with the Tok'ra before killing randomly System Lords, instead of focusing on Sokar. The Tau'ri ARE too primitive to resist a full-scale Goa'uld invasion, and even the Asgard wouldn't be enough.

Yeesh, Commander Adama dies? You're gonna get a lot of flak for that. Still I can't wait to see part 2.

This is an epic novel.
The writing has gotten better throughout and chapter 1 and chapter 24 are very different. The ending was very dramatic and you've got every character spot on. Your OCs are believable and realistic. You've got a huge level of detail but it doesn't drag, its all a pleasure to read.
I think the Asgard have come to the rescue at the end. The bright light Adama saw could be beaming.
I look forward to the sequel.
What series and episode of SG1 are we at? (Has the ARG been developed yet)

So is Tamara his actual sister and the mag-lev train was never bombed, or was V-World Tamara downloaded into a new body?

re-reading this story from the start and so very glad i decided to... love the detail you've put into this fic, the back story of the colonies and how you've made the effort to create a realism about colonial life, history & politics that is often absent in so many stories... it goes without saying, (event though i just have), that the characters in this fic, all have that element that makes the reader engage with them...
very much one of the better sg/bsg fics out there... good on ya mate...
| Hammurabi chapter 24 . 9/15/2013
A brave choice, I think; killing off both Galactica and Adama... Nicely done.
And then I remembered... This is a crossover of Battlestar Galactica and Stargate: SG-1!
If you are so inclined, you could bring Adama back from the dead via the ascended Ancients (Oma Desala comes to mind). After all, Danial Jackson died more than once, and that didn't keep him away forever. Plus the ascended Ancients would fit very well into the Galactica pantheon.
At the very end, I liked what read to me as the Cylons being attacked. Since "things" were attacking, that could be the Asgard - though I think that less likely. More likely (I hope!) is the Cylons being attacked by Replicators.
After all, Humans don't exactly run around the galaxy as a band of brothers. Why would one machine civilization play nice to another machine civilization just because, hey, we're all machines. My thinking is that the Replicators will view the Cylons like they view everything else - as an exploitable resource, nothing more. In fact, Cylons might be MORE exploitable than livinging species, since the entire population is a resource as well as the technology.

| Dark Vizard447 chapter 24 . 9/15/2013
Awesome seeing the Galactica crew take on the Replicators. So are the Cylons aware of the Replicators and if so, whats their opinion of them?
| Syphon01 chapter 24 . 9/14/2013
