*pouts* What? It's the last one? Damn it. I want to know EVERYTHING that happens next.
But still, it was a nice place to end it and this was, as usual, amazing.
I really loved how you showed Sam trying to cope and failing and Dean just not knowing what to do and wanting to be there and Sam's reluctance (refusual) to talk to anyone about it and Dean getting more and more worried...
And then Sam's "coping mechanism" and him hidin the drinking from Dean and Dean finding the bottles and everthing finally coming to a head... Brilliant and very realistic. I loved it.
Still wish there was more, but I can live with this slightly-hopeful, things-are-turning-around ending. Brilliantly written!

Another part to this please! ... It's REALLY GOOD!
| lanternheart chapter 1 . 11/25/2011
You end it THERE? *fume*
| Ophelia Lake chapter 1 . 11/7/2011
I know you said you were done but I'm curious as to how the sessions with Sam talking to someone would go. Would he insist on Dean being there? How much would he be able to disclose? If you ever felt like writing it, I very much feel like reading it. I love your writing as always, thanks for sharing!
| SupernaturallyEgocentric chapter 1 . 7/18/2011
Very good story, whew! Glad they're going to talk!
| Jimelda chapter 1 . 7/4/2011
Are you suuuure you don't want to write another sequel to this? I'd love to see what happens next. Lol. Kidding...mostly. This triloguy is really interesting tho, in a disturbing kind of way in that the humans have left more of an impact on Sam than any demon has ever done. That's scary. But I'm impressed in the way you address that. Well done.

I know I'm asking a lot but I wish that you might think about writing one more. I would like to know what Dean does to help Sammy out. That poor thing by the way. I wish that Dean would find them again and he could feel free to kill them for they did to poor Sammy. Anyway maybe one more sequel. That way we could know where Dean takes Sammy. Sammy on his way to recovery from the attack. I swear I'm like an addict now! Excellent Job!

Great ending, i like those kind of 'hope for the future' endings. Also I so agree with you about Sam's hair! He looks so much better with a fringe! I've been waiting for the day they change it back too.
| spnMom chapter 1 . 5/1/2010
The first step is admitting there's a problem. Thanks for taking this at least to the start of him getting help. Great little trilogy. Thanks.
| KKBELVIS chapter 1 . 4/21/2010
I enjoyed this very much.
Nice trio. Glad you wrote it and shared!
And Sam finally admitting he needs to talk.
| Twinchy chapter 1 . 4/17/2010
What do they say, realization is the first step to improvement... well, for Sam it certaily is, because Dean is going to take care of that, I'm beyond sure.
It's sad but not unheard of from traumatized people to see their roles reverse with the ones around them. How Sammy used to be the one to talk things over and over again, with Dean refusing and reflecting - and yet, it's Dean asking, then begging, and eventually insisting on Sam talking with someone about what happened.
In that regard, the sentence "It had gone from 'I think you should talk to someone', to 'You need to talk to someone', and now Dean was thinking that the time had come for a 'You're going to talk to someone'." was gorgeous and made of awesome, Pixie.
You decribed superbly how Sam's mental stability regressed with passing time, rather than improved, what with not seeking help and letting his fear take control over him.
At least he had his older brother who was always by his side, keeping watch, even if Dean did miss some crucial signs at first of Sammy starting to seriously drink himself into a stupor in order to get some rest.
Yet now that all the cards are finally on the table, and knowing Dean, he won't budge on the matter anymore since things have gone this far, the younger man will receive the help he needs so desperately to get his bearings again.
Awesome finish, there! Makes for a very well-rounded trilogy IMHO.
