Reviews for Code Lyoko: Project Scipio
Soul Jelly chapter 29 . 2/18/2012
This project Scipio stuff is interesting, and the amount of detail going into its history is pretty impressive. I wasn't expecting Odd's death, but that and the drama with Yumi, Ulrich and William was good to read - I like that you're interspersing the main characters' histories with your OCs'.
Soul Jelly chapter 18 . 2/18/2012
Wow, I wasn't expecting Ulrich and Odd to get drafted! Figures someone in the army would be related to Jim though, a nice touch.
Soul Jelly chapter 17 . 2/18/2012
This is good so far!

I like XANA's method of possessing/controlling more people, especially ones in power. As such, the beginning scene with the guy in the factory was great.

As far as your characters go, Calvin and Antea are really sweet, and Sam is exactly how a child of Odd and Sissi would be.

I also like the sort of biographical introductions to the characters, such as the one in this chapter.
Tramp on me I tramp on you chapter 54 . 2/15/2012
I hate that dick Thaddeus. I loathe him. He is a terrible person. If Johann's parents were my parents, and my grandfather was doing that to me, my dad would kick the crap out of him, then have him arrested. That horrible person. I hope he dies a terrible, awful death.
lyoko fan chapter 60 . 2/7/2012
i like this. write more.
XtraXplosions chapter 82 . 2/1/2012
That was a wonderful story. The pasts of each of the first generation characters was fantastic and how you organise chapters and had pretty much three stories running was an amazing feat you pulled off.

The next gen characters though, were hit and miss to me. There was some that I really adored, particularity Rumiko, while there are some that no matter how hard I try, I don't like a lot.

Also, the amount of kids that noticed Calvin had Aspergers' Syndrome near at the start of the story felt weird, especially because there was no explanation how on Earth these kids found out about it. Even though Calvin is a genius, they wouldn't think that Asperger's would contribute to it.

As for your own writing, its good, and it tells the plot of the story and how the characters feel. And as far as I can tell, I couldn't see any mistakes.

All in all, though, I enjoyed the story as a whole, and I'll be reviewing your next piece as well.

Kiwi Jr. A daughter to the original. :) Such a funny chapter
Kid Flash 4444 chapter 18 . 1/15/2012
I love your story as well as how you potray the Lyoko warriors' kids. Everything is spot on and well written. The only thing is it made me very sad to here Odd died as I love the kid but otherwise everything is great! Keep up the great work man! .
elf chapter 18 . 1/14/2012
I think it's really sweet of Ulrich to follow Yumi to college. :D

At the part when Ulrich's dad came on, I started to get really freaked out. I thought he was going to come in and ruin everything and be like "no ulrich i h8 u and u cn't go"...and then I read the rest of that scene. XD It was still really sad though, because Ulrich had purposely made he sure he got into the same college of Yumi, and then he doesn't get to go. I guess the sole consolation is that he has Odd? :D

-"Promise me one thing, Yumi." Ulrich said "Promise me that no matter what happens you'll never leave me."

"Okay Ulrich, I promise" Yumi said

"I love you, Yumes." He said

"I love you too, Ulrich." She said as they both kissed for what they were afraid would be the last time. Ulrich then hopped on the bus. As it took off, Yumi stayed on the exact same spot until she was sure she couldn't see it anymore.-

This is so freakin' romantic and adorable! Seriously. I just had to say this. This is my favourite part of this chapter because of the romantic-ness and everything. I'm a huge fan of anything to do with romance and all of that cheesy stuff.

And oh my god, Calvin Morales says the same thing — "Well, I'd rather not talk about it" YES. This was hilarious and we also got to learn a little about Jim's family at the same time. And Calvin definitely seems a lot like Jim to me. I guess the attitude just runs in the family, huh? :D

Anyway, this was a sweet chapter. It was lighthearted, but I'm a fan of the lighthearted and the happy and all of those happy endings where the couple rides off into the sunset...jk, but still, sometimes I'm just in the mood to read something more happy sounding. Even if they had to go off to Afghanistan, they still got back, right? So yeah. Everyone gets back, even if they have certain parts missing.
elf chapter 17 . 12/14/2011
I did like the vague storybook feel of this chapter! :) This chapter was very direct, no subtle work-arounds or anything like that, but I think it really fits. You aren't trying to make a mystery out of what happens in Nikolaus' early life right here. You're just trying to give us readers some background information! And for this purpose, it works very well.

I also think your incorporation of Nazi Germany is interesting. I mean, we can't forget Ulrich's German roots!

Just one thing that I noticed; "'As of now, me and Nikolaus are part of the National Socialist German Workers' Party.'"

I can't be 100% certain, but I think it's 'As of now, Nikolaus and I...', because Nikolaus and his father are the ones directly affecting the whole sentence (I don't know the exact terminology). Those I's and me's are tricky though!

And just one last thing — I really appreciated how you put the dates in. I can be pretty obsessive about knowing exactly where a story is taking places, its dates, and things like that. It's very nice to know where NIkolaus was at different points in his life! And woah, the end, suspense much? XD
elf chapter 16 . 10/29/2011
I thought this chapter was really funny.

"'Hey,' Rumiko said 'I'm a woman of my word, you know that. Besides, Ulrich forced me to hold up my end of the bargain.'

'Why can't you just call him "Dad"? It's much easier.' Ami asked

'He tainted my Japanese heritage with his German blood. He's no father of mine.'"

I especially liked this line, because of all the things to hold a non-serious grudge over...:D

Anyway...not much in terms of the XANA and other evil stuff plot went on here, but we did get to see more of the relationships between the characters. I'm so glad that Rumiko was being nice, it was good to see that side of her. Though I'm really not liking Sammy right now...she's being a complete bitch right now, so hopefully she improves later. Unless she becomes evil or is like the Sissi of their generation, which would make a lot of sense.

And I don't think I saw anything wrong with grammar, though for the "How was your date" question that Calvin asked him, there should either be a question mark there (or a dash if you wanted to show that he couldn't complete his question). But seriously, it's not a big deal; I just kind of freakishly pick at punctuation (though I'm the first to admit too that I love commas like a mother loves her baby...except even more, for serious).

Nice chapter!
elf chapter 15 . 10/22/2011
They're family dynamic is seriously really, really adorable. They just sound so picture perfect (but not in the creepy way lol) and family-ish. Like they have their quirks, but they still all get along. I like the part where Calvin says he wants to see Rumiko's cheerleading uniform too. Their whole sibling-argument thing really makes me smile.

It was also fun seeing them talk and everything. I mean, you can tell that they have chemistry. And it's also adorable seeing Calvin try to impress Antea and everything, and his joke about the gelato. We also get to see more of Antea's character, such as how she can tell jokes and stuff like that.
elf chapter 14 . 10/22/2011
I'm kind of conflicted. On one hand, I really like Rumiko, on the other hand, I'm rooting for Calvin since it sounds like he's the typical younger sibling (you know, trying to live up to their older sibling's expections, blablabla). Of course, I liked the flow of this chapter. I've probably said this before (I know I get repetitive, bear with me please?), but I think your control of the dialogue has really strengthened from when you first started this story to now. It sounds more "flowy" and natural. It was also nice seeing Calvin become a soccer player too! It just seems right that he'd do that, considering Ulrich was an amazing soccer player and all.

The only thing that I'm sort of on the fence about (well besides whether or not I like Rumiko or Calvin better) is the flashback scene. As I said your dialogue goes nicely, but I really dislike flashbacks. It's a personal preference though, so I don't think that should affect you (and to be more precise, I hate emotional flashbacks, even if they do supplement the story like this one does). I just think that they cut into the setting of the story, since I feel like I'm following the characters along and then suddenly the world is cut into. Then again, I think most people are okay with flashbacks, and it's not like I have any other alternative to offer...
elf chapter 13 . 10/8/2011
This was an interesting chapter. As I said before, nice pacing and flow. I don't really know what else to say since that about covers all of it. It's interesting to find out this stuff though. Especially the whole Anthony Schaeffer thing. I wonder what's up with that, considering a dead guy really shouldn't be trying to attack people on Lyoko...
elf chapter 12 . 10/8/2011
Since not much went on during this chapter, I don't have a lot to say plotwise (though to be honest, I love banter/talking scenes more than fighting scenes, so for me at least, it's not a bad thing that not a lot of big stuff happened). Again with the last chapter, I liked your flow. And I also liked the pacing of this chapter. The first parts of this story happen a lot faster than the recent chapters, and it does show that you've improved. Okay, I think that sounded really pretentious, but I think there is obvious improvement in your grammar (with the dialogue and all) and also in how your characters interact with each other.

My favourite line was definitely:

"'Oh, well he is, that's why he's so popular.'"
