Minimeh: Wow. Wow, wow, wow, WOW! That was so EPIC! That was so well written
Ken: There wasn't enough kensuke in it! :(
Daisuke: Aw, Ken, we can make up for it later!
Minimeh: Ignore their shenanigans
Daisuke: Ooh, shenanigans! Um, Ken? What's a shenanigans?
Ken: You're so cute when you use big words.
Miyako: *edges away from maniacs*
Minimeh: Crazy muses. Anyway, that has got to be one of, if not the best digimon fic I've read! Kudos to you! Well done!

I just finished reading this story, and it's prequel. I didn't realize that there were apparently two more stories before it, but I can't decide if I'm going to read those yet. Instead of going and reviewing each story individually, I want to give my thoughts on both together.
First of all, I am very impressed with the universe you have created, especially when it comes to the Digital World; I personally get lost in worlds that I try to create to modify. You created a lot of Digimon, too (I think? I didn't recognize a lot of names, but I stopped following the show after 02 ended) And, I am very impressed with how you stuck with this story for such a long time- this is a really long story!
One thing that confused me a few times, though, was how you seem to alternate between elements of the sub and dub. Maybe it was explained in a detail I've forgotten, but Davis was also referred to as Daisuke, Kari as Hikari, and you seem to use the attacks that in both the sub and dub. You also included Armadimon's habit of adding dagyaa to the end of his sentences, which is adorable.
I also have some problems with your pacing- however, it was mostly good. I personally find the battles boring (I think that's just something that doesn't really translate well to text), so I was glad when the battles became shorter. There were a lot of individual battles, also; I'm torn on this because speech shows character development better, but you can't have such a long story without action.
The only other thing that caught my attention was the way that the characters seemed so unlike their personae in the show- I realize that your story is supposed to be set somewhat in the future, but at times, I felt like these were original characters.
To be honest, though, I'm just nitpicking based on my own personal preferences. :) Though this story is not styled like what I would normally read, it was a good and interesting read, and again, I'm very impressed by your commitment. Overall, well done.

I cried. I really did. I sobbed so much during the story it was funny. The two stories were awesome and I'm so glad I stumbled upon them. :)
Wonderful, amazing job!

Oh, god I feel like such a girl right now! Tears are dying to get out, but I won't let them! (but I seriously want to)
Okay, I'm crying now.
My god, my god, my god. What can I say about this story? Well, I can say that the ending was longly anticipated, as well as slightly disheartening, knowing that this beautiful masterpiece is coming to a close.
The ending was beautifully written, and I felt Ken's nerves throughout all of this, as well as Davis' hesitance and the family's shock and love at seeing Davis is safe and well. Honestly, it couldn't have ended better, and on a happy note nonetheless.
From your first (as I like to call it) epic, when I read this, let's just say I was NOT disappointed. Of course, there was the fact that I actually read around 3 chapters of this before I had even read the prequel, which made things harder to understand. Though, I did read TNM all the way through, gaping at how you managed to capture the essence of the original story's premise and characters had the story taken that sort of twist. But that's a TNM's review.
For FP, I awaited each new chapter, constantly intrigued at how the tables have now turned and it was Davis' turn to be the evil one. I was feeling the emotions and turmoil both parties felt at the chance: how Ken felt after the Kaiser left him, and how Davis felt as "the Kaiser" entered him, left him, and then Lucemon entered him and left him. The explanations were well thought out, the story was told in a way that enveloped me as if I were watching a great episode of Digimon, as if this "World" truly existed and that I was not just reading some fanfic.
This story was touching, the action was great.
OH! The action! Man, oh man. At first Davis was the villain, then freakin Lucemon! Even though Lucemon was an apparent evil, I thought Lucemon at the beginning was good until exposer of him gave way to his true intentions. And the whole Digicast fighting against him and everyone having their little turn.
I was blown away at the epicness of this sheer epicness of this, and WHY this story has less than a 100 reviews disheartens me to the core. You deserve to be noticed.
Okay, the short version of this little praise: your plot, characters, action, story, and writing style and charisma has me enthralled.
However, and this really pains me to point out any flaw in this wonderfulness, but, the pacing needs a LOT of work. It's not the matter of length that slows down or speeds up pacing, it's the description. At times, the story is so fast paced, and that's good, but for battles. I felt that some battles took too long, and some weren't as satisfying as previously anticipated. That being said, I felt that the Ryo cameo was completely useless and felt more like a scapegoat to transition to the next bad guy. Honestly, I thought it would've been more interesting and heartbreaking to have battled both godcomplex!Davis and Lucemon. You could have totally played that up, so to have that idea completely discarded and just have Ryo walk in and be all like "Fixed it. Kthnxbai." felt like a slap to the face.
But, I will say that what followed up was tremendously great, and a great save at that, seeing that you didn't just throw this story's potential away. You built from that, and I liked that. Throughout the entire story I couldn't tell who to sympathize more for? Ken because he's realized his wrong doings, and being the kind soul that he is, refuses forgiveness and acceptance all the way until the end; that and he's lost all of his family as well as quite possibly the love of his life. Or Davis who's been stripped of his strength thanks to two evils possessing his body, which really doesn't need much explanation other than that.
I felt the emotions they felt after that were realistic and were handled with care, and never once did I fall out of the "reality" of this story I have set up for myself. All in all, the great outweigh the meager immensely, and this story is definitely a strongly recommend read to not only the DaiKen fanbase, but to EVERY Digimon fan ever (they can always skip over the yaoi ;p). It's also worth the reread (which is COMPLETELY rare for someone like me).
I'm grateful to be graced with this story, and I hope many people were touched equally as deeply as I was when reading this.
So sad to see it end, and I can only wish for a sequel, or at least another spin off story (because I do enjoy those _).
This is very bittersweet, but I bid you farewell and hope for the best in your future writings.

What a great ending. I'm sad it over though D:
I really enjoyed reading this story, it was amazing. So many twists and turns, and all of them are resolved.
You're a spectacular author. C:

I can't speak for everyone, but . . . While I'm not a big supporter of same sex relationships (I am reading this because a friend of mine suggested I read the new millenium, and was curious to read the sequel because I wanted to see what would happen, my curiousity will someday come back to bite me, I know.) if my child went missing for several years, came back with scars because of torture, and told me they had fallen inlove with a fellow victim who was the same sex, as much as I don't agree or understand, I wouldn't send them away or disown them. Now, I would also explain my misgivings (what if it was a version of stockholm syndrome that made them closer instead of true love?) and while I wouldn't bane their relationship, or force them to give up that comfort zone, I would ask if they would consider counseling of some kind to make sure that this is really what they want- even if counseling just turns out to be me sitting down with one of them once a week (or taking them to do something like shopping or ice cream) and talking with them about why they like the other and how they developed that bond.
But everyone reacts to same sex relationships differently, and just because I would be tolerant of that situation (if my spouse wasn't I think I would go momma bear on him, simply because it would kill me to lose my child again and there is no way in hell I'd let my child out of my protection so soon after getting them back) doesn't mean everyone else is.
So, I kinda see mrs. Motomiya and jun being fairly supportive of the two, if a little protective and unsure, and mr. Motomiya following his wife's lead, but being just as protective.
Like I said, I may not understand why some people are attracted to the same sex, and I might not support same sex marriage, but I wouldn't get in someone's way . . . Thought I would ask them if they're sure that this is what they want. That's my personal view.
Feel free to PM or reply to this if you want me to explain more.

That was way adorable C:
I loved the bath part when Chibimon was putting bubbles on Davis. I love how you write Taichi and Davis as so close, it's so cute! It's so cute how Ken bought Davis an outfit, Davis not being allowed to wear flames when he was young because it'd make him look like a punk made me snicker. I've said it before, but I just love how fitting the characters are to their original selfs!
I was wondering about the whole family issue as I read. I didn't think it'd be directly addressed. Actually I thought chapter 16 was the last chapter, so I was extremely excited to see this! This (and The New Millennium, obviously) are my favorite! Anyways, I love how you actually tie up the loose knots. I can't wait to read about Davis re-meeting his family!
Honestly, if you changed around the characters names and added their own back stories this would be one kick ass novel. However, the fact that it's Digimon makes it so much better! The New Millennium kept me from studying for my driving school test, and now this is keeping me from studying (and sleeping) for my math exam. You're magical writing skills will be the death of me. x3
Now I will stop my fangirl ramblings. I love the story! I loved this chapter! You're a genius :)
