I love this story, hope you update again.
| The 10th Wand chapter 7 . 4/5/2013
poor C.C. if that reference to the plane trip was anything to go by she must of had a very unpleasant and painful experience, let alone being chained to a wall for years!
Omake made for a light hearted ending though and would make for an interesting omake series. "The 101 almost assassinations of Suzaku Kururugi"
| The 10th Wand chapter 3 . 4/2/2013
great omake and interlude
| Ppsh chapter 7 . 8/21/2012
A mostly excellent fic. Interesting changes from canon, I had always wondered how it would go if C.C had never become a part of Lelouch's life. I'm guessing, from the scene with Mao, that the key divergence which changed things was that Mao somehow captured C.C and kept her locked up, thus she never got caught by Clovis. Heh, girl can't catch a break, though it's probably a better fate than being tortured in science experiments.
The only gripe I really have throughout the entire story is the sort of forceful insertion of Suzaku back into the main story, even though all things considered it's a bit ridiculously unlikely. The way you described it wasn't TOO bad, but it's nevertheless a bit stupid to imagine that in totally different scenarios Suzaku and Euphemia would still get together. After all, the only thing Suzaku really has going for him is some acrobatics; his piloting skills are irrelevant, because as a number he would never be allowed to pilot a knightmare. It was only through a series of screwed up circumstances that it happened in canon. Without that, Suzaku almost certainly would have died like the useless dog that he is, as cannon fodder. He's not exactly big on following orders after all. And he certainly wouldn't have met Euphemia. Nor would he have been allowed to marry her, he'd have had none of his reputation that he'd built as the pilot of the Lancelot in canon when he became her knight, and becoming her knight is like a 1/10 as bad in the eyes of the nobility as him marrying her. I'm pretty sure the Omake about assassination attempts isn't far off; except more likely the Emporer would simply order his execution for even daring to do it.
Admittedly part of my objection stems from the fact that I just detest Suzaku, he is by far the most traitorous and idiotic character in the whole series, so seeing him shoehorned back into the main plot with little believability sort of irritates me.
I also confess to not really understanding the necessity of keeping Lelouch's identity hidden from his closest followers. Considering he is no longer in Ashford, and he has no geass to hide, there's really only negative things that come from his mask. None of them will ever really trust him until they know his identity. And whilst it'd be a bit of a shock that he's a Brittanian, and former prince, it wouldn't exactly cripple their trust in him or anything like that; he's proven, more than anyone, that he hates Brittania. He also has perfectly legitimate reasons for hating Brittania that he can explain, Nunnally being the best demonstration. ALl this would result in is his closest subordinates truly trusting him and securing their loyalty, and would eliminate any potential future betrayals such as that in cannon.
I think you sort of just followed the way he did it in cannon without really considering how needless it is in this situation. The only thing that is true is that his identity needs to not be given to untrustworthy members or for Brittanians to find it out - but that is true of everyone else in the Black Knights, so it's not a big deal.

I love your version of cg~ _
In this story, Lelouch isn't as overconfident, brash, and psychotic (but we love him for that too )
Keep up the amazing work :)

Re-read this story again and I remembered how much I loved what you're doing with it. I really hope you continue with it.

Very interesting situation. I don't think I've come across a Rebellion story without a Lelouch with Geass power. Nina as a major player is something really different, but it would make sense for Lelouch to take advantage of that genius brain of hers. The strategies used and the complex characters are as engrossing as they would be by following canon. They're even more interesting with the fact that I can't predict what's going to happen next in this game of cat and mouse. Definitely looking forward to more!

Icha Icha of all things...
I can already imagine a scene wherein Schneizel is a closet Icha Icha fanboy...
And the Black Knights found out...
Keep it up!

Is this Lelouch-one-sided-harem or something?
It's an amazing story and concept, although I'm kind of hoping Lelouch will become more badass as the storie unfolds.
One thing I'm really curious about is how everyone found out his and Nunnally's heritage, bar Milly obviously.

Awesome story! I like it! Please update soon.
| Nerisel chapter 7 . 7/30/2010
Haha. I like how you're making Nina a more involved character in this story. It opens alot of gateways to a number of interpretations of characters and being that it is so distinct, one cannot help but be further pulled in by the tide of the story. :D
| Nerisel chapter 1 . 7/29/2010
First chap and already I'm caught. The plot is already starting to develop and us readers are definately feeling the anticipation. I haven't read a fanfic as well written and plot driven as this one for a long time. Keep up the good work. :D Not that I need to say it. Haha.
